Not to mention this game has two of the states best at the helm with Coach Ackley of Blackfoot and Coach Hargitt of Emmett. Both teams are looking to replace some major talent to graduation but in a game that was mainly controlled by Blackfoot last year its Emmett that brings in a little more playing experience. All the Broncos have done is make it to two trips to the semifinals with two trips to the quarterfinals of the Class 4A postseason. Emmett on the other hand made a story book run to the state championship in 2020 but have been knocked out early in the past two season. Coach Ackley is going to be leaning on a very young squad this season with the only returning player being Tyler Johnson but the Broncos have been able to compete year in and year out in the 4A ranks. On the other side Emmett returns some dominant players especially in the form of [player_tooltip player_id='1135720' first='Cristian' last='Sanchez'] who looks like he is going to have a dominating senior campaign. As always its going to come down to turnover but will the Broncos young core of athletes be able to contain the physical Emmett ground attack and keep the tradition alive.
