Buck is a powerful defensive lineman that is able to really get good separation from offensive lineman and then has the quickness to disrupt plays in the backfield. Has a great motor that really doesn’t ever shut off during a game and shows good pass rush ability. Stout against the run and hold his ground against the double team. Plays with great leverage and strength at the the point of attack.

Buck enters into our rankings as a top ten defensive lineman in this loaded position group in the 2025 class, and is coming off a stellar Junior season for Emmett. He is a still raw and developing prospect, but has immense strength at the POA, heavy hands with a consistent lockout, and shows he is athletic enough both to two gap, and eat up double teams while providing position versatility along both the interior defensive line and on the edge. Buck wins with power and leverage at the POA against bigger blockers, and is a high motor kid that consistently makes plays backside and will be one of the top defenders across the region this season.

Buck plays on both sides of the ball for Emmett, and has elite size for the defensive or offensive line and has plenty of untapped potential. He is a big bodied athlete with heavy hands, can eat up blocks and get underneath blockers which is impressive for his size and is a high motor kid near the LOS. Offensively, he provides nice position versatility along the offensive line and excels in pass protection using his length to keep defenders off his chest and active feet against all types of pass rushers. He should draw D3+ interest through his Senior year and in the right system and program, can really excel at the next level due to growth potential. Look for the Emmett product to be one of the better plays up front across the region in 2024.
