Buck plays on both sides of the ball for Emmett, and has elite size for the defensive or offensive line and has plenty of untapped potential. He is a big bodied athlete with heavy hands, can eat up blocks and get underneath blockers which is impressive for his size and is a high motor kid near the LOS. Offensively, he provides nice position versatility along the offensive line and excels in pass protection using his length to keep defenders off his chest and active feet against all types of pass rushers. He should draw D3+ interest through his Senior year and in the right system and program, can really excel at the next level due to growth potential. Look for the Emmett product to be one of the better plays up front across the region in 2024.
Loper enters into our rankings as a top 15 defensive lineman across the state and is explosive off the ball with quick and active hands at the POA while a natural bender around the interior edge, beating bigger tackles with ease. He is also able to kick inside and provides a very nice interior pass rush with an explosive first step, strong pursuit to the ball and can scrape backside and chase down ball carriers. In the run game, he shows quick block recognition and can quickly react while able to redirect and defeat reach/drive blocks with ease. He should find his home at defensive tackle at the next level due to his size, strength and build and is a D3+ kid at the next level.
Hanson checks into our defensive line rankings just outside the top 10, and inside the top 80 overall with some possibility to move up in the next update. He can play on both sides of the ball and is a force in the middle of both the CDL offensive and defensive lines as he shows great strength and violence at the POA with hand control and will only continue to transform his body through his final season and into his college career. He does move well for this size, and has solid bend in his stance while showing active feet on both sides of the ball. Defensively, he is a true two-gap plug that can eat up blockers and split double teams when needed. Look for Hanson to once again be one of the top guys up front in the region in 2024.
