Preview:
Two of Idaho’s preeminent programs face off once again this year with the Grizzlies traveling North to face off with the Vikings. The Vikings started their season off with a bang verse Rigby as they knocked off the defending state champions at Montana University last week. Jamison Kizziar Jamison Kizziar 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Coeur d’Alene | 2024 State ID started the season off with a bang as we have one of our players of the week for the first week of football in the state of Idaho. The senior can really hurt teams with his legs or his arm but has showed much more command and moxie than he had last year. Boasting one of the most talented defenses in the state the Vikings have big time players like Camden Degraw and Shea Robertson Shea Robertson 6'1" | 210 lbs | LB Coeur D'Alene | 2024 State ID both division one football players who can make an impact all over the field. Rocky on the other side started off their season with a big time division win after beating Middleton. Rocky has been one of the most consistent program in the state when it comes to reloading year in and year out. After graduating a big time senior class all Rocky has done is lean on some talent young players who have now grown through the program. Gunner Thompson takes over at quarterback where he has a multitude of skill players to use at his disposal especially Taeshaun Reece and Jaryn Ikebe Jaryn Ikebe 5'7" | 155 lbs | WR Rocky Mountain | 2024 State ID who make plays look effortless. This game is going to come down to who makes the least amount of mistakes as the Vikings created 4 turnover versus Rigby and Rocky has really predicated their program on creating turnover. Who ever can take care of the ball the most will have the best shot to win. Two big time programs going at it and it should be a game to watch this week.
