If there is anything I hope people are taking away from PRZ Next, it's that there is football talent in every state of this country. While Delaware is the second smallest state, it's not without talent. For the majority of the class of 2027 athletes, they will be getting their first taste of high school ball in just a few short weeks. Prep Redzone Next is here to help shine a light on some of the freshmen to know about in Delaware this upcoming season.

Not all will play varsity right away, and some of the athletes below may have already peaked athletically in football. On the other hand, there may be (probably will be) glaring omissions from the list below–and that's the beauty of it. This is a Watchlist based off athletes we have either watched on film or seen in person during their pre-high school careers.

The only player officially ranked in every state will be who we perceive as being the top prospect in the state for the class, coming out of middle school. In Delaware, that 2027 prospect is Defensive End, [player_tooltip player_id='909896' first='Layton' last='von Brandt'] . All other players will be listed as Watchlist (WL), in alphabetical order.

Delaware's No.1 Class of 2027 Prospect:

The Entire Class of 2027 Delaware Watchlist

RJ Anderson | Defensive Back | St. Mark's | Watchlist (WL)

Cole Andrews | 6'3 | 165 | Quarterback | St. Elizabeth | Watchlist (WL)

Kaivon Bailey | 6'0 | 175 | Wide Receiver | Middletown | Watchlist (WL)

Ozmeer Batson | 6'0 | 170 | Athlete | Cape Henlopen | Watchlist (WL)

Chris Benson | 5'7 | 145 | Defensive Back Red Lion Christian Academy | Watchlist (WL)

Taj Boaten | 5'7 | 175 | Running Back | Caravel Academy | Watchlist (WL)

Kevin Browning III | Quarterback | Caravel Academy | Watchlist (WL)

Chrystian Carroll | 5'11 | 155 | Athlete | Smyrna | Watchlist (WL)

Mac Casalvera | Linebacker | St. Mark's | Watchlist (WL)

Kylil Chandler | Defensive Back | Caesar Rodney | Watchlist (WL)

Mekhi Corbin | 6'0 | 195 | Linebacker | Red Lion Christian Academy | Watchlist (WL)

DJ Davis | 6'2 | 165 | Wide Receiver | Middletown | Watchlist (WL)

Francis Drummond | 5'11 | 175 Wide Receiver | Appoquinimink | Watchlist (WL)

Jayden Elliot | 6'0 | 155 | Wide Receiver | William Penn | Watchlist (WL)

Josiah Everett | 5'8 | 130 | Quarterback | William Penn | Watchlist (WL)

Nathan Everett | 5'7 135 | Defensive Back | Red Lion Christian Academy | Watchlist (WL)

Brayden Felts | 6'3 | 240 | Offensive Line Middletown | Watchlist (WL)

Tyson Fenderson | 5'10 | 150 | Defensive Back | Early College | Watchlist (WL)

Jhasir Fletcher | Athlete | Dover | Watchlist (WL)

Devon Flowers | Athlete | Red Lion Christian Academy | Watchlist (WL)

Tate Fontanazza | Wide Receiver | Salesianum | Watchlist (WL)

Chance Foxworth | 5'9 | 150 | Wide Receiver | Middletown | Watchlist (WL)

Zion Goldsborough | Wide Receiver | St. Mark's | Watchlist (WL)

Ahmeir Green | Quarterback | Watchlist (WL)
