A new regime takes over for the College Park Cavaliers in District 13 6-A in 2023. With new lead man Kyle Coats at the helm, the Cavelier fanbase can expect some excitement and energy to be injected into a program that has been looking for a boost back to its district championship year when they were clicking on all cylinders. Coach Coats brings a little Dallas swag to The Woodlands area from his previous stint at Desoto High School by way of the Texas Longhorns. Let's take a look at what Coach Coats and the boisterous Cavs have in store for the season on offense.

Conner Dunphy - WR #2

Connor Dunphy has been an offensive sensation dating all the way back to his South County football days in little league football. This gadget of an athlete has proven lethal when it comes to production with the ball in his hands. Dunphy has done it all on the field from play quarterback, slot, and even running back. He has starred on special teams and rumor has it that Coach Coats may be playing around with him playing on both sides of the ball for the 2023 season. With his speed, agility, and ball skills; that could be a cocktail for chaos when it comes to trying to stop Dunphy and the Cavs from maximizing his potential in his final year of high school. The eyes of Texas will be watching this young man do his thing one last time underneath the Friday night lights for the Cavs, Bo and Debbie Dunphy, his twin sisters, and his mother who never misses his game!!!

Cole Snodgrass - TE #10

Cole Snodgrass is a powerhouse of a tight end who was converted from receiver due to the fact that he just wouldn't stop growing. Standing at approximately 6'4.5 and weighing in at 230 pounds; Snodgrass is a load to bring down. He demonstrates receiver level mastery of the route tree and has adequate speed to yards after catch ratios. Snodgrass is a fantastic story in District 13 6-A due to how close he came to leaving the game of football. But after the entrance of Coach Coats and his vibrant approach to relationships; Snodgrass's recommitted himself to the game and found himself committing to TCU. Look for him to reintroduce himself with extreme enthusiasm in the upcoming season.

Kam Montgomery - QB #7

Kam Montgomery is the Dual-Threat QB1 for the Cavaliers for the 2023 season. Montgomery found himself in a quarterback battle last year and solidified himself as a team player and leader willing to put a program on his back. This year he is being rewarded with the keys to the offense. Montgomery is a poised pocket passer who scrambles with the intent of extending the play rather than padding his rushing stats. With a full offseason under his belt look for #7 to show his growth in all facets as he shows the reasoning behind him getting the nod to usher in the new regime and season.

Eugene Burnett - RB #5

Eugene Burnett is a powerful and shifty ball carrier who is looking to have a bounce back season while coming off a season ending injury in 2022. Burnett displays great vision and a relentless nature within his running style. Burnett keeps his feet moving through contact and stays behind his pads through the echo of the whistle. Because of this fact, Burnett can be found constantly falling forward for the tough extra yards. Look for him to prove that he is back and better than ever with a clean bill of health, power, and determination when the inaugural whistles blow for the 2023 season opener.

Luke Adams - OL #79

Luke Adams is a 6'4 281-pound left guard who is strong at the point of emphasis. He is a knee bender instead of a waste bender when engaging defenders with leverage. He can constantly be seen dropping hips, extending the punch, and driving the feet. He plays with a very good pad level and has impressed the coaching staff coming out of spring and summer SAC camp. With his knack for technical pulling from the guard position and motor, it would be hard envisioning Adams having a pedestrian season under the new coaching energy in Cavelier country.
