8A Preseason Player of the Year: Braden Tischer

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With 10,208 fan votes, Lincoln Way East senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='161316' first='Braden' last='Tischer'] was named the 8A Preseason Player of the Year. Last fall, Tischer led the Griffins to a 13-1 record and a state title game appearance down in Champaign. He finished the season throwing for 2,192 yards &amp; 21 touchdowns while adding another 458 yards and 4 TDs on the ground. On tape, he is a dual-threat QB prospect with 4.5 speed, a quick release, and dynamic escapability within the pocket. He can stop on a dime &amp; change direction, he's got steady deep ball touch and routinely works to his third and fourth read in the progression. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>East is loaded yet again and should be one of the top contenders in 8A this fall with Tischer at the helm. Do you have any offers?</strong><br>Roosevelt and Central College have offered. Our D-line will be the best in the state. Year in and year out we have the toughest linebackers and the DBs are fearlessly flying around and making plays. The offensive line led by [player_tooltip player_id='161312' first='Josh' last='Janowski'] and Mikey Lombardo is very dependable. Then [player_tooltip player_id='169050' first='Cade' last='Serauskis'] and [player_tooltip player_id='830853' first='Trey' last='Zvonar'] who are both returning starters are leading the receiving room. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>What's something interesting people should know about you?</strong><br>I'm super competitive, I refuse to lose in spike ball and bags.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>What has playing football at Lincoln Way East meant to you?</strong><br>It means everything, this program led by Coach Zvonar develops skills that I'll use for the rest of my life.
