“We’ve had a great summer attendance. I think our leadership council did a great job of leading our football team and getting our guys here and understanding the little things. A lot of little things needed to be corrected from last year and I think they’ve really bought into those things and expecting it to show up on the field,” Pittman said.

STARS SET TO SHINE
Matthew Wilson Matthew Wilson 6'1" | 200 lbs | QB Rock Hill | 2024 State SC QB, 2024 – The Region III-5A Player of the Year in 2022 is committed to Appalachian State University for next year and he’s been working to improve his accuracy and anticipation when the play breaks down.
Malik Clark Malik Clark 6'2" | 180 lbs | WR Rock Hill | 2025 State SC , WR, 2025 – Clark (pictured above) heads into his junior season with offers from Coastal Carolina, App State, Liberty, Georgia Southern and Western Michigan. He has been working to improve his route running. He’s dynamic when he gets out into space and is a threat to score with the ball in his hands.
Ty Pettus, LB, 2024 – Pettus is an aggressive, downhill linebacker who we expect to be tough to block in 2023. The transfer from Olympic HS in Charlotte, N.C., has been working to keep himself in shape and be conditioned for the long stretch run.
Isaiah Palmer DL, 2024 – Pittman had high remarks for Palmer, saying he has a great motor and rushes the quarterback well.
FILM REVIEW
Daylen Boulware RB, 2024 – Pittman calls Boulware a swiss army knife that will be a part of a loaded running back room for the Bearcats. Boulware runs with authority and has great speed once he gets out into the open field. Keep an eye on him to contribute at linebacker because he takes great angles to the ball.
UP AND COMING POTENTIAL
Keith Moore, DL, 2026 – Moore will be able to give Foster and Chris Burgess a break in the rotation and played JV football last year.
Kaiden Watkins Kaiden Watkins 5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH Rock Hill | 2027 State SC , CB, 2027 – The son of defensive back coach Tony Watkins, Pittman expects Watkins to play multiple positions in 2023 because of how gifted he is as an athlete.
