1.[player_tooltip player_id='152653' first='Zhaiel' last='Smith'] 6-0 185 WR Central Catholic OFFERS: Arizona St.

UPDATE: The state's #1 recruit had a big off season, making DB's look silly on a consistent basis. He recently showcased his skills at the Les Schwab Bowl, being named the offensive player of the game. He will add multiple D1 offers in the coming months.

Previous Analysis: Zhaiel backed up his #1 ranking in a big way, catching 35 passes for 739 yards (21.7 ypc) and 12 TDs on the year. He was also impressive on D making 33 total tackles, with 5 PBUs and 1 INT. He earned 1st team all Mt Hood honors.

2.[player_tooltip player_id='285855' first='Baron' last='Naone'] 6-4 225 TE/OLB West Linn OFFERS (7) Washington, Oregon St, Arizona St, Arizona, Cal

UPDATE: Naone has blown up adding ½ the Pac 12 from an offer standpoint. Look for that trend to continue as he has the potential of being a big time national recruit.

Previous Analysis: Naone will be a 1st team all-state kid on both sides of the ball in the coming seasons. The D1 genes and overall athleticism help put his potential into perspective. He earned 2nd team all TRL honors defensively and honorable mention accolades at TE.

3.[player_tooltip player_id='406759' first='Zac' last='Stascausky'] 6-5 250 OL Central Catholic OFFERS: Northern Arizona

UPDATE: Stascausky made the biggest jump of any athlete on this list. When all is said and done he could very well be 6-6 290 pounds, and one of the most offered lineman in the country. He has that type of ceiling.

Previous Analysis: One of the fastest rising players in the state. Stascausky earned 2nd team all Mt Hood honors and has the necessary size and athleticism to blow up with continued progression.

4.[player_tooltip player_id='286686' first='Zachary' last='Davis'] 6-1 220 OLB/DE Central Catholic OFFERS: Florida A/M

UPDATE: This will come down to continued progression. The Rams will likely be ranked one of the top teams on the west coast with that national exposure helping Davis on the recruiting front.

Previous Analysis: Davis has film which speaks for itself. His fluidity and ability to maneuver is special. As a sophomore he made 43 total tackles, with 8 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks on the season.

5.[player_tooltip player_id='406756' first='Jake' last='Normoyle'] 6-4 295 OL West Linn

UPDATE: Credit to Normoyle on making the necessary efforts to go train with one of the nation's top programs in FSP over the off season. Look for all those trips to Seattle to pay off as he should be dominant.

Previous Analysis: Maybe the fastest rising lineman in the entire NW. Normoyle earned 1st team all-conference honors in the brutally tough TRL, showing flashes similar to former West Linn great and former Ducks center Alex Forsyth.

6.[player_tooltip player_id='527032' first='Mana' last='Tuioti'] 5-11 210 LB Sheldon

UPDATE: Tuioti won't have his brother's size but he could be equally talented. Expect him to be a conference POY favorite. His leadership will be necessary with the Irish graduating such a talented class.

Previous Analysis: I would expect Oregon and many others to offer in the near future. Tuioti had an unreal sophomore season, making 66 total tackles, with 7.5 tackles for loss, and 3 INTs. He brings a lot to the table you can't teach.

7.[player_tooltip player_id='285852' first='Avirey' last='Durdahl'] 6-0 185 QB Nelson

UPDATE: This year will be telling as it might be tough to match last year's 8-2 season. 3* ATH [player_tooltip player_id='488914' first='Andre' last='Miller'] is a clutch transfer from Gresham, but the Hawks graduate a couple conference stat leaders and lose talented 6-4 WR [player_tooltip player_id='154326' first='Luke' last='Womack'] to Lakeridge. Regardless Durdahl is legit and the #1 QB in the state for his class until someone proves otherwise.

Previous Analysis: Look for Durdahl to have a big off season on the camp circuit and blow up as a junior. He earned 2nd team all-conference honors behind 2x Mt Hood Conference POY [player_tooltip player_id='152354' first='Cru' last='Newman'], throwing 18 TDs/ 2INTs and hitting on 61% of his passes.

8.[player_tooltip player_id='312496' first='Hudson' last='Hardy'] 6-3 220 RB/OLB West Linn

UPDATE: It's early with a lot yet to be determined but I could see Hardy being a 4* national recruit. His combination of size and overall athleticism is elite. Expect him to be a conference & state POY candidate on both sides of the ball in the coming seasons.

Previous Analysis: I would expect Hardy to be one of the state's statistical leaders from his RB spot while potentially projecting as one of the top OLB's in the West. The kid can play.

9.[player_tooltip player_id='285849' first='Oliver' last='Macy'] 6-4 215 OLB/DE Lake Oswego

UPDATE: Look for Macy to blow up on the recruiting front this coming season. Much like his brother he is an unquestioned D1 athlete, with the necessary size and speed to play at the highest level.

Previous Analysis: The Lakers were young finishing (7-4) but had underclassmen like Macy step up and play beyond his years. He will project as a 1st team all-league and all state kid the next two seasons.

10..[player_tooltip player_id='406754' first='Jackson' last='Doman'] 6-5 195 WR/OLB Canby OFFERS: BYU

UPDATE: As good as he was on D last year, look for offensive guru Jimmy Joyce to get him the ball often at his WR spot. He will be a double digit D1 offer athlete.

Previous Analysis: Doman had an outstanding year on the defensive side of the ball but the Cougars were young and had some key injuries. On the year he made 46 total tackles, with 3 tackles for loss, and a sack. Expect him to be a big contributor offensively the next two seasons.

11.[player_tooltip player_id='406755' first='Zyon' last='Floyd'] 5-10 165 ATH Lakeridge

UPDATE: One of the fastest athletes in the West. Floyd has the ability to change a game with his speed as you can expect Coach Spencer Phillips to get him the ball in space.

Previous Analysis: Floyd was injured early in the year and missed most of the season. That said as he will be one of the state's best, and project as a 1st team all TRL kid and POY candidate the next two seasons.

12.[player_tooltip player_id='285857' first='Nolan' last='Keeney'] 6-4 210 QB Tualatin

UPDATE: Keeney had a nice off season leading Team Lillard. The T-Wolves feature a D1 perimeter as he should have a big year statistically. The line is a question mark, but fortunately the big man can run if need be, with close to 100 carries last year.

Previous Analysis: When you have a back going for close to 300 each week the stats won't always do you justice. Keeney hit on 55% of his passes (81/147), throwing 8 TDs/5 INTs. He also showed off his overall athleticism, rushing 92 times for 359 (4 ypc) yards and 4 TDs.

13.[player_tooltip player_id='406767' first='Wyatt' last='Smiley'] 6-3 170 WR West Linn

UPDATE: The ball is going to be spread around at West Linn with talent everywhere. That said as Smiley should be a top target, having one of the best-off seasons of any athlete within Oregon.

Previous Analysis: Smiley earned honorable mention all-league honors as a sophomore in the state's toughest conference. Look for him to be one of the state's top wideouts as a junior.

14.[player_tooltip player_id='406774' first='Baird' last='Gilroy'] 6-5 210 QB West Linn

UPDATE: Baird had a phenomenal off season and should be considered one of the fastest rising prospects in the NW. He will battle talented 2024 QB [player_tooltip player_id='278385' first='Nick' last='Sakys'] for the starting job. It wouldn't surprise me to see him end up a top 5 recruit statewide.

15.[player_tooltip player_id='902382' first='Cody' last='Siegner'] 6-7 215 TE Crane

UPDATE: The Rodeo champion and conference player of the year in hoops comes from an impressive family with D1 genes and elite size. Film is hard to come by at a 1A school so it will be important to see him on the camp circuit.

16.[player_tooltip player_id='285851' first='Jace' last='Eveland'] 6-7 325 T Redmond

UPDATE: Moving to beautiful Central Oregon is a good thing but he's still playing 5A ball. The size is great, but mobility is essential, so it will be interesting to see what type of film he can put together. He has been incredibly successful the last two years in the NWOC.

Previous Analysis: For the 2nd year in a row Eveland earned 1st team all-league honors and was named the NWOC's lineman of the year. Special accolades for such a young athlete. The biggest question marks come with the lack of competition on the Kingsmen schedule.

17.[player_tooltip player_id='902459' first='Gabe' last='Haines'] 6-4 280 G Central

UPDATE: Definitely a kid whose stock has shot through the roof as of late. Haines was a 1st team all-conference lineman as a sophomore and also a standout wrestler and track athlete (state champion-discus).

18.[player_tooltip player_id='285850' first='Brayden' last='Boe'] 6-4 175 WR/OLB Mountainside

UPDATE: Boe is a legit D1 guy in basketball and on the football field. Very few NW athletes possess his size and overall versatility. He will have numerous options.

Previous Analysis: Boe earned 1st team all-league honors on O, leading the conference in TD receptions, while averaging 20+ yards per catch. He was also a standout on D racking up 2nd team all-Metro accolades. He is easily one of the most complete athletes in the NW.

19.[player_tooltip player_id='407173' first='Austin' last='Simmons'] 6-4 215 OLB West Albany

UPDATE: Another kid who made name for himself this off season. A lot of eyes and expectations will be on him this year. Simmons is all of 6-4 and can move, so expect him to be in the mix on both sides of the ball.

20.[player_tooltip player_id='766200' first='Treyson' last='Eddleman'] 6-1 215 LB Sherwood

UPDATE: Watch the film. Eddleman had an outstanding sophomore season but went somewhat under the radar. I would expect him to be a Pacific Conference POY candidate this season as very few backers move the way he does.

21.[player_tooltip player_id='511859' first='Madden' last='Tanuvasa'] 6-0 170 DB Mountainside

UPDATE: I would expect Tanuvasa to have a big year on both sides of the ball. He will project on D but could very well be one of the best in the Metro offensively.

Previous Analysis: Tanuvasa comes from an impressive family with D1 genes. His brother Pepe started and was one of BYU's leading tacklers at OLB, with brother Layton being the former TRL defensive POY. Madden stepped up big as a sophomore, scoring multiple TDs offensively and earning all-conference honors on D.

22.[player_tooltip player_id='285876' first='Kameron' last='Rague'] 6-1 180 ATH South Medford

UPDATE: The reigning 3A Player of the Year made the move to South where he can compete against legit 6A competition for the next two years. He was absolutely dominant as a sophomore going for over 1500 yards and 20+ TDs while likely projecting at Safety.

23.[player_tooltip player_id='285866' first='Liam' last='Davis'] 6-1 170 QB Lake Oswego

UPDATE: The Lakers will be back with a much more experienced group this season, led by Davis. He looked good on the 7v7 circuit as part of EForce and will have all eyes on him in the brutally tough TRL.

Previous Analysis: One of the most impressive sophomores in the state of Oregon. To say he stepped up and proved himself would be an understatement. His playoff performance versus North Medford summarized his season well, going 20 of 23 for 287 yards and 3 TDs.

24.[player_tooltip player_id='285871' first='Kaden' last='Martirano'] 6-2 200 QB West Salem

UPDATE: Martirano has a chance to be one of the best to ever come out of the Valley. One of Oregon's all-time great coaches, Shawn Stanley, considers him similar to some of the other D1 QB's that have played for him.

Previous Analysis: Martirano was hurt and missed most of last season but looks to be the real deal. Expect West to come back in a big way next year and be a conference title contender.

25.[player_tooltip player_id='406758' first='Kainoa' last='Hayes'] 6-2 250 DE Central Catholic

UPDATED: From a recruitment standpoint his projection will depend on continued growth. He is incredibly talented and easily one of the top D lineman in the NW. As a sophomore he earned 2nd team all Mt Hood honors on D and honorable mention accolades on offense.
