While there are tons that stand out, there are a few that sometimes fly under the radar and get glossed over that should get more respect. Today we’re going to check out 5 seniors in the southeast part of the state looking to break onto the scene!
I really like the way Michael pursues the ballcarriers. His balance is pretty good, and he shows a unique skillset at the LB position. I think he could even put his hand down in the dirt and do some pass rushing as well, as he has the frame and speed off the ball to do it. With 100 tackles last year, and 6 sacks, I can see him turning some heads at Summit this season.

As a receiver, I like Conley’s ability to fire off and run clean routes. I like his body control, and the way he doesn’t tip off which route he is running, and breaks it off cleanly. He sometimes has a habit of catching with the body, but shows good hands other times. I really like his defense though, as he is long and covers a ton of ground from the safety position. He breaks on the ball quickly and has good instincts reading the play. I think he can take another step forward, and if he does it could be a really positive year for him.

I really think this is the year Brandon Cunningham Brandon Cunningham 6’3″ | 200 lbs | WR Roseville | 2024 State MI becomes a household name across the state and on the recruiting trail. He’s an all out competitor with a super strong frame and great intangibles. I have seen him and Roseville work at a variety off 7V7 camps throughout the offseason, and I continue to come away impressed with Brandon. He’s catching the eye of some D2 schools, but I don’t think that’s the limit. Don’t be shocked if those D2 offers turn into D1 offers when he does his thing this fall.
I enjoy watching this guy work at the DB position. He’s a true ballhawk, who flies around and is a real playmaker. His elite athleticism serves him well offensively as well, running right by defenders and making catches behind the secondary. He’s also a great return man taking back kicks, as he has great vision and gets to the open field faster than most. I really love his athleticism and his potential to be a good gadget guy that can do a little bit of everything. I expect him to have another really good season and showcase his talents.

Jamarlin McKinney
Jamarlin is a guy that strikes me as an ultra competitive guy. Every play he plays at 100%. I love his aggression and willingness to come up and make hits in the run game from the LB position, and can drop back in coverage and be productive there too. Every hit is violent with him, and he plays tough through the whistle. He can make all the plays asked of him, and then some. I’m really surprised with the lack of coverage for this guy, he may be a sneaky good pickup for D2 schools looking to add a thumping linebacker with a good build and sound technique
