Let's take a closer look at a handful of the standout players from the 2025 class who remain uncommitted at the moment.

2025 6'3 165 WR - [player_tooltip player_id='708426' first='Shamarius' last='Peterkin'] - Mount Tabor

[player_tooltip player_id='708426' first='Shamarius' last='Peterkin'] already possesses elite D1 offers from the best of the best: Florida State, UMiami, Georgia, Penn State, Tennessee, South Carolina, WVU, VT, and more. On offense, Peterkin hauled-in nearly 500 yards receiving along with 7 total touchdowns last Fall. Peterkin also thrives defensively, and on that side of the ball he earned an interception, a sack, and nearly 20 solo tackles. It's extremely clear that Shamrius Peterkin is a well-rounded playmaker who understands his roles well on both sides of the ball. I fully anticipate his game translating very well at the next level, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he makes an immediate impact.

2025 6'4 230 DL - [player_tooltip player_id='620146' first='Bryce' last='Davis'] - Grimsley

The 1st Team All-Conference defensive lineman ended the 2022 season with: 92 tackles, 12 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, 1 forced fumble, and a couple of blocks. Therefore, it's safe to say that Davis put forth the most dominant season of his high school career so far. He's currently the #3 ranked uncommitted DL prospect in the state, and I believe he'll cement his 4 star status next season with another dominant season. The Grimsley Whirlies are also in a phenomenal position to continue their unbeaten streak deep into next season with [player_tooltip player_id='620146' first='Bryce' last='Davis'] on their roster. Scouts everywhere must offer [player_tooltip player_id='620146' first='Bryce' last='Davis'] if they've not done so already.

2025 6'5 180 DB - [player_tooltip player_id='620334' first='JaDon' last='Blair'] - Mount Tabor

[player_tooltip player_id='620334' first='JaDon' last='Blair'] was certainly one of the focal points on defense last season for the Spartans. He tallied more than 40 solo tackles and a handful of those were for a loss. Blair is currently listed on the ESPN TOP 300 rankings for his class, and he's widely considered one of the best remaining uncommitted defensive backs in all of North Carolina. Mount Tabor finished the 2022 season with a 9-3 overall record, and my prediction is that, with [player_tooltip player_id='620334' first='JaDon' last='Blair'] leading the charge, the Spartans exceed that winning percentage next season. It's essential that scouts in North Carolina make it to Mount Tabor in 2023. They possess many elite prospects such as [player_tooltip player_id='620334' first='JaDon' last='Blair'].

2025 6'5 265 DL - [player_tooltip player_id='615368' first='Isaiah' last='Campbell'] - Southern Durham

4 star defensive lineman and Southern Durham High School phenom, [player_tooltip player_id='615368' first='Isaiah' last='Campbell'], recently narrowed his top school choices down to his last 10. Campbell's choices are: Alabama, Clemson, LSU, Oklahoma, Penn State, Notre Dame, UMiami, UNC, Duke, and NC State. Standing at 6'5 265, it's no secret that [player_tooltip player_id='615368' first='Isaiah' last='Campbell'] is an absolute force to be reckoned with on the defensive side of the ball. His speed for his size is also nothing short of spectacular, and there's no doubt in my mind that he will thrive at the collegiate level. [player_tooltip player_id='615368' first='Isaiah' last='Campbell']'s commitment will absolutely be one of the most highly anticipated of any prospect from the 2025 class.

2025 5'8 170 RB - [player_tooltip player_id='380042' first='Amareon' last='Blue'] - CE Jordan

[player_tooltip player_id='380042' first='Amareon' last='Blue'] shined extremely bright last season for his Jordan Falcons' team, and his numbers are off the charts fantastic. Blue ran for a whopping 2,442 rushing yards with 30 TDs!! Clearly, he was absolutely spectacular in 2022, so it shouldn't be any surprise that he's one of the most coveted running back recruits in North Carolina's 2025 class. Blue currently holds two D1 offers from Boston College and Bethune-Cookman, and it's not surprising considering both of those programs pride themselves on their ability to recruit elite running back talent fast and from around the country. There's zero doubt in my mind that [player_tooltip player_id='380042' first='Amareon' last='Blue'] will accomplish great things out of the backfield at the next level, and scouts nationwide should be eagerly anticipating his upcoming Junior season this Fall at CE Jordan.
