Kennedy Urlacher Kennedy Urlacher 6’1″ | 190 lbs | DB Chandler | 2024 State AZ is one the top safeties in the state with a verbal commitment to Norte Dame. The son of Chicago Bears legend Brian Urlacher, he carries on the tradition of big hits over the middle of the field. Urlacher’s closing speed is notable on tape, with great instincts when coming downhill. He has good size for the position at 6’1 190, and it is easy to see the natural athleticism when he makes plays all over the field. In coverage, he exhibits he can play man as a safety while having the range to play post-safety. Urlacher is fun to watch and should excel at the next level.
Ole Miss verbal commit Demond Williams Demond Williams 5’11” | 180 lbs | QB Basha | 2024 State AZ Jr. is one of the most electrifying players in the nation. He is designed as a modern quarterback who can make plays with his legs and beat you with his arm. Williams Jr.’s arm talent is top-notch, able to throw with velocity to all three levels. He has good mechanics with his feet pointing to his target. He is dangerous in the open field when he breaks the pocket with his elusiveness. His run vs. the Chandler Wolves last season demonstrated his ability to create explosive plays. Williams has the potential to become a highlight reel star playing in the SEC.
Ca’Lil Valentine is battling with Christian Clark Christian Clark 6’0″ | 195 lbs | ATH Mountain Pointe | 2024 State AZ for the best running back prospect for 2024. Valentine has breakaway speed and can take it to the house on any play. He is a patient runner in the backfield, using strong vision to find holes. When he makes a decision, he can accelerate quickly and speed past defenders into the second level. Physicality is a part of his game, with him playing behind his pads, making him a tough tackle in the open field. He is also an all-around running back, running good routes and blocking against blitz and free rushers. Valentine has yet to commit anywhere, but he is touted as one of the best in Arizona.
Miles Lockhart Miles Lockhart 6’0″ | 185 lbs | DB Basha | 2024 State AZ committed to Ohio State after a junior season, where he displayed his talents. The 5’10 185 pound cornerback’s athleticism allows him to quickly transition out of his backfield to make plays on the football. He has good ball skills and understanding to look back for the football and high point for interceptions. Even when he does get beat, he has the speed to catch up and cause pass deflections when targeted. He is a sound tackler and can bring down ball carries in the second level. Lockhart will have a chance to add to the great tradition of Ohio State cornerbacks in the fall of 2024.
Jaxon Branch Jaxon Branch 6’1″ | 170 lbs | WR Chandler | 2024 State AZ is a wide receiver with offers from Arizona State and Arizona. He is a crafty receiver who can run the whole route tree well. Against press coverage, Branch has a good release that allows him to set up his routes. The suddenness at the top of his routes is why he creates separation against the cornerbacks he is facing. His sure hands can catch everything coming his way, making him a reliable target for his quarterback. His balance is shown by making receptions on the sidelines while keeping his feet in bounds. He can adjust to catches around him, whether low or away from his body. The matchup between Branch and Lockhart will be one to watch.
