As we release the updated Class of 2025 PRZ Texas Rankings, we spotlight several playmakers at the tight end position.
The six foot six Rupe can go up and get it. He has an extended catch radius, he has large, strong, soft hands that engulf the football and his ability to extend in traffic to make contested grabs makes him an offensive weapon. Ty runs crisp routes, he understands how to create space between himself and the defender and these skills enable him to get open consistently. He takes pride in blocking, he physical at the point of attack and he uses his violent hands to get free in tight coverage. Rupe has a high ceiling, he has the frame to add bulk as he continues to mature at the next level and he has the skill set to line up inline or split out wide and he uses his enormous wingspan to make catches in tight coverage. Heading into his junior season with Grand Oaks, Rupe has already gained some steam on the recruiting trail, with offers from Colorado, Mississippi State, Kansas, Nebraska and Minnesota rolling in.

Highlights
Jack is the total package, he is an elite pass catcher, he has a large wingspan that he uses to win routinely in tight coverage, he has strong hands that engulf the football and he has the speed to work the entire route tree. Jack’s ability to run after the catch makes him a matchup nightmare for defenses. VanDorselaer is a key cog in the Southlake Carroll running game, he takes pride in dishing out punishment to defenders, he is violent at the point of attack and he finishes his blocks with authority. Jack has the traits that colleges covet at the next level, speed, excellent ball skills, violent blocking and the skill set to make the big play are all tools that VanDorselaer has in his game. Heading into his junior season with well over twenty offers in his bag from the likes of Alabama, Georgia, Nebraska, Baylor, Texas and Arkansas, there is no doubt that Jack will have his choice of where he wants to play at the next level. Look for VanDorselaer to continue to haunt defenses dreams this fall in the Dragon offense on Friday nights.

Armstrong is one the most dynamic and versatile athletes at the tight end position in the Class of 2025. Kiotti is freakishly athletic, he has an extended wing span that enables him to win on contested catches consistently and he has the speed to work the middle of the field to stretch the defense. Armstrong is a angry blocker, he gets hand on defenders early, locks in and finishes blocks with violent intentions. Kiotti excels at run after the catch yards, he has the burst to create separation at the second level and he runs with power which makes him difficult to bring down in the open field. He has large, soft, strong hands that engulf the football and he attack passes with a purpose. Armstrong is plug and play player who also lines up on defense for Jasper and he uses his elite burst to terrorize offenses. Kiotti is the definition of athlete, he excels on the baseball diamond with a powerful stroke at the plate and Armstrong holds it down on the basketball court showing off his off the charts athleticism. Kiotti has been one of the hottest recruits in Texas this offseason, with offers from Texas A&M, Texas, TCU, Baylor, UTSA, Miami and Oklahoma State filling up his mailbox.

Andrus plays with a mean streak, he is physical at the point of attack, he has an extended reach that he uses to keep defenders from getting close and he uses his big frame in tight coverage to win on contested grabs in traffic. Jordan runs sharp routes, he has the speed to get to the top of his routes quickly and he uses his powerful frame to create separation. Andrus is a physical blocker at the point of attack, he gets his hands in place at engagement which enables him to get control of defenders and he finishes his blocks with a purpose. Jordan has the speed to stretch the field, he excels as runner after the catch showing a burst at the second level and he runs like a powerful locomotive in the open field which allows him to break tackles consistently. Andrus had an outstanding performance at the Sky’s The Limit Camp in Plano this month, showing off his superb ball skills, crisp route running and the athleticism that colleges covet at the tight end position. Jordan has been getting lots of attention on the recruiting trail this offseason picking up offers from North Texas, SMU, Grambling, Alcorn State, Georgia Tech, Texas Southern, Prairie View, Arizona State, Sam Houston State and Texas State. Andrus was a First Team All-District Selection in 2022 and he is on target to make more headlines for Jack Yates in 2023.

Highlights
Johnson has off the charts athleticism, he has the speed to break away from defenders in the open field and he has a large catch radius that allows him to extend and make the difficult grabs look routine. Keiundre has a stout build, he has a powerful lower half and he has an explosive first step that enables him to get on defenders quickly. Johnson has the skill set to line up inline or split out wide and be a matchup nightmare. Keiundre is a freakish athlete, who lines up as an edge defender on the Terrell defense and he causes havoc. He plays with great leverage, he shows great patience on film by not over running plays, he sets the edge firmly and his closing speed to the ball carrier is next level. Johnson has a swiss army knife type of game that makes him one of the most versatile players in the Class of 2025 and colleges programs have taken notice. Keiundre has double digit offers from schools around the country that include SMU, North Texas, Texas, Florida State and Baylor to name a few. Johnson is back for his junior season ready to make coaching staffs game plan for him on Friday nights
