This article will look at five players from the class of 2024 who are shoo-in prospects for RMAC schools while listing five more worthy of a closer look.
Alex Sweeney | Erie | 6’2”, 170lbs | WR
Sweeney is looking like he could become another potential sleeper receiver from the Tigers. He has good size and speed with impressive catching abilities. He does a great job creating space from defenders with his athleticism and physicality. Sweeney has stood out during the offseason, showcasing promising potential as a hidden talent on the verge of a breakout season.
Anthony Cobb Anthony Cobb WR Broomfield | 2024 State CO | Broomfield | 6’1”, 170lbs | WR
Cobb is a speedster capable of taking the top off a secondary. He has the characteristics of a true playmaker, putting him in a category with the must-know prospects in the state. Cobb is an ideal candidate for a program with a need for a potential slot receiver that can be a go-to target on deep routes or anything that gets him into open space.
Kellan Brockway | Centaurus | 6’3”, 190lbs | DB/WR
Brockway is a head-turner because of his size, but his work ethic and coachability greatly add to his stock value. He is a two-way athlete who plays cornerback and wide receiver, capable of playing either side of the ball at the next level. His height, length, and ability to play the ball in the air make him a legitimate option for a college safety role. Brockway is another player who could emerge as a breakout prospect during his senior season.
Jaden Hoffman Jaden Hoffman 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Severance | 2024 CO | Severance | 6’2”, | QB/WR
Hoffman is a player whose situation has impacted his status as a prospect more than anything else. Being at a smaller program with positional needs, he put the team first and stepped into the quarterback role after serving as a receiver. His overall athleticism and competitive mindset allow him to be a baller wherever he lines up. His experience as a QB and WR gives him invaluable insight into the offensive skill positions. Hoffman is the type of athlete who can make an impact on a roster as a QB with a strong arm or a WR with sharp routes and great hands.
Ryan Braun | Littleton | 6’3”, 250lbs | OL/DL
Braun is a low-flyer on the prospect radar, but that has a lot to do with being at a smaller program that is often overlooked. However, with three former teammates from the 2023 class signing to an in-state RMAC school, Braun is in a prime position to add to the program’s turnaround as a recruiting destination. His size, strength, and physicality are a few of the characteristics that have helped him stand out since his days as an underclassman.
