Who are some of the top leading receivers in the 4A classification?

Prep Redzone breaks it all down...

[player_tooltip player_id='860539' first='Hudson' last='Gray'] – Northwest Whitfield

A dynamic, playmaking receiver from North Georgia, Gray is a polished wideout with excellent hands who can pick up big yards after the catch. He can pluck the ball out of the air with ease and has enough speed to fly past defenders who don't take the correct angle. He also has a knack for sneaking behind opposing defenses vertically down the field. At 6-foot-0 180-pounds, Gray is a natural pass-catcher who runs as well as anyone in the are. He claims a 4.49 in the 40-yard dash, making him one of the fastest and most explosive receivers in all of North Georgia. A consistent playmaker all year long for Northwest Whitfield, Gray caught 58 passes for 808 yards and four touchdowns on the season. He's quick, twitchy, and at times can be unguardable for most defensive backs in the area to cover. Look for him to have another dominant season for the Bruins as a senior in 2023.

Cedric Evans – Spalding

A big, athletic receiver from the Griffin area at 6-foot-3 180-pounds, Evans is a big-play weapon who knows to challenge defenses down the field. Without a doubt one of the more underrated playmakers in the metro-Atlanta area for the 2023 class, Evans is still growing and developing as a receiver, with the chance to have an excellent senior season this upcoming fall. He's a big target with strong, reliable hands, making him an easy option in the passing game. He got better and better as the season went along last year, catching 14 passes for 240 yards and two touchdowns in his last two games of the season. In total, he's caught 50 passes this year for 690 yards and 7 total touchdowns. He averaged an impressive 13.8 yards per catch and could see his recruitment take a step forward down the road. He's still flying under the radar a bit, but he's a guy defenses need to have a close eye on every Friday night in 2023.

Logan Sinkfield – Troup County

A West Georgia wideout with plenty of speed, Sinkfield is a versatile receiver who can line up anywhere and find a way to make plays. A sure-handed weapon, the 6-foot-1 175-pounder showed above-average athleticism last year for Troup County along with eye-opening ball skills and natural playmaking ability. He has dangerous straight-line speed, but he knows how to leap up and make a play on the ball in the air as well. He was a go-to option when Troup County needed a big play, and it's led to offers this spring from Wofford, Yale, Middle Tennessee State, among others. In 2022, Sinkfield caught 34 passes for 724 yards and 10 touchdowns. He could take over games at times and was tough to handle for opposing defenses all season long. He went over the 100-yard mark only twice last year, but that will likely change as a senior in 2023. His biggest game came in a big win over Trinity Christian where he caught four passes for 172 yards and two touchdowns.
