Farmington Phoenix

Farmington made it to the 6A semifinals and could make it there again with multiple returning contributors. Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='532692' first='Easton' last='Wight'] is back and will lead what should be one of the state's most explosive offenses. Running back [player_tooltip player_id='698326' first='Travis' last='Hoopes'] also returns and will make an impact on all three downs. Look for tight end [player_tooltip player_id='875584' first='Matthew' last='Croasmun'] to make plays for the Phoenix while offensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='875573' first='Scott' last='Purdie'] and the rest of the offensive line give the Farmington playmakers plenty of time to to make big plays. Defensively the Phoenix will be led by the elite defensive line tandem of [player_tooltip player_id='406989' first='Jacob' last='Speredon'] and [player_tooltip player_id='894691' first='Porter' last='Bowcut']. Head Coach Daniel Coats and the Phoniex will once again be a contender in 2023.

Syracuse Titans

The Titans won Region 1 last year and could repeat this fall. Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='532703' first='Jake' last='Hopkins'] and [player_tooltip player_id='681228' first='Kobe' last='Bennett'] are both back. The pair made Syracuse offenses incredibly hard to contain in 2022. Factor in the return of receiver [player_tooltip player_id='591213' first='DJ' last='Mayes'] and offensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='532696' first='Ben' last='Acker-Oatis'] and you could have the best offenses in the region. Defensively look for defensive backs [player_tooltip player_id='745221' first='Trevin' last='Shaw'] and [player_tooltip player_id='705856' first='Bracken' last='Dockery'] to take passes away. Syracuse also has one of the state's best kickers in [player_tooltip player_id='681234' first='Rhett' last='Thompson']. Head coach Michael Knight and the Titans could be in for a huge year this fall.

Davis Darts

The Darts will once again be in the mix for the Region 1 crown when the regular season begins to wind down. Offensively, Davis has several players set to have breakout years, including athlete [player_tooltip player_id='718827' first='McCoy' last='Frasure']. Defensively the Darts have one of the state's best defensive line tandems in [player_tooltip player_id='681347' first='Jordan' last='Taula'] and [player_tooltip player_id='717882' first='Ami' last='Moala']. Both of them possess outstanding power and technique they use to beat their matchup rep after rep. The Darts are loaded at all three levels with [player_tooltip player_id='698247' first='Jacob' last='Faerber'] leading the middle of the defense and [player_tooltip player_id='681356' first='Nick' last='Johnson'] leading the secondary. Davis head coach Scott Peery and his team will be making noise in Region 1 and beyond this season.
