QB’s Show Off Arms At Pitt State Prospect Camp

He checks all the boxes a coach could want in a quarterback. He has a big arm, an accurate arm, is intelligent, and can run. He transferred from Hesston High School to Wichita Collegiate for his senior year. He also plays 7v7 for the Kansas Colts.  It was a treat to see him get to throw in person. Ferralez is currently ranked No. 18 overall by Prep Redzone among the Class of 2024 peers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='145605' first='Harvey' last='Zimmerman']</strong>, QB, 6'2, 200, Trinity Academy</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Zimmerman is a stout pocket passer. I really liked the way he threw the ball. He is a very poised young man. His footwork is solid. He is not quite as quick as Ferralez, but he is not a stick in the mud while in the pocket either.  McPherson can throw the deep ball as well if not better than the other quarterbacks who participated. He is currently ranked No. 58 in the Class of 2024 by Prep Redzone.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='446299' first='Willie' last='Dorsey']</strong>, QB, 6'2”, 170, Wellsville</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dorsey is an impressive two-way quarterback.  He is not as big physically as the other quarterbacks on this list, but he arguably might be the fastest of the four. I did not go around and collect all 200-plus times in the ‘Forty”. He throws a tight spiral and I was impressed with how he carried himself at the camp. He is currently ranked No. 95 by Prep Redzone Kansas.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='340492' first='Drake' last='McPherson']</strong>, QB, 6'3”, 180, Campus</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>McPherson is the tallest of the four quarterbacks and might have the biggest arm. He looked really solid in the drills next to everyone else in the large group of 20-plus quarterbacks at the camp. Like all the other quarterbacks on this list, I had seen McPherson on film but finally got to see him throw in person. He did not disappoint. Prep Redzone currently has the Campus QB ranked No. 154 in the Class of 2024.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
