Toris was a player that should've made the initial rankings, and after a great string of 7v7 performances, there's no doubt he should be on here. Toris will likely be a two-way contributor for the Patriots, but he has been really impressive with his defensive skills. Rudd is an up-and-coming cornerback that already outplays his age with solid technique and IQ. He's very reactive to what he sees from receivers, with the ability to break and change direction quickly. One thing that stands out about Toris' game is his physicality in coverage. Even as a young CB, Toris has no hesitation to get in a receiver's face at the LOS. Great ball skills when the ball is in the air. This Millard South class is going to be special, with Toris playing a big part in it.

Dallas is a solid-looking athlete that could carve out a nice role for himself on varsity as a sophomore. I got to see Dallas in person a few weeks back, and I thought he looked ready to make a splash this fall. Dallas will be pushing for one of the linebacker spots, where he showed great athleticism and range. One thing you don't want to underestimate about Dallas is his speed and lateral quickness as he can cover a good chunk of the field in coverage and can fire off downhill when he reads run. Washington also played RB on the Knight's freshman team last season, where he had proved to be too much for defenses to handle. His mix of vision, patience, cutting ability, burst, and breakaway speed allowed him to run rampant. Very tough player to tackle as he can easily bounce off of contact. Major upside!

Impressive young passer who I believe will do a great job leading the new Gretna East squad in the upcoming years. Logan has had a pretty good summer as he has taken learning a new school, system, and offense all in stride. I've had the chance to watch him on a few occasions this offseason, and the one thing that has been the most consistent is his ability to take coaching and apply it. Whether at a camp or doing 7v7 with Gretna East, it seems that Logan always takes time to listen to his coaching and builds on it. He has all the tools to develop into a great passer. Even as a young QB, Logan has shown that he can move through his progressions quickly instead of locking in on his primary receiver. He has a quick release when he finds his target and can place the ball exactly where his receiver needs it. Solid arm strength to push the deep ball. There are still some moments where Logan shows his rawness, but he always bounces back very well— great confidence in his abilities! Excited to watch the Griffins this season.

Nelsyn is another player I got to see a bit more of this offseason, namely at the Doane 7v7 tournament. Nelsyn was a key part of the offense, using his 4.51 40-speed and quick twitch to create separation during the route and break away after the catch. Nelsyn played running back on the GI freshman team but is also a great receiver either out of the backfield or as a slot receiver. He has great vision and does a great job analyzing the field and finding lanes to run through. Follows his blocks very well. Wheeler's standout track performance (10.6 100m) also helped give him the push into the rankings. I wouldn't be surprised to see Nelsyn push for serious varsity time in his sophomore season.
