Peters had a great home record of 3-1 in 2022 and a respectable .500 record of 3-3 away. The Indians will look to avenge losses sustained in ’22 by Upper Saint Clair, Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, and Cannon McMillian. Peters opens up the season at home versus Fox Chapel at 7 pm on August 25, 2023. The Indians missed the playoffs by losing a close game to Bethel Park in the ’22 season finale, 27-21.
Mickey is an impressive 6’4, 210-pound FBS recruit. He’s good playing off of linemen, and his strength has been continually increasing. Mickey sets the edge well and doesn’t allow plays to stretch outside him in the run game. He’s a good blitzer from OLB depth or coming off the edge. His zone drops are good, and he does an adequate job defending his area before reacting to the play. He’s got the speed and physicality to go along with his A1 motor. Mickey will be a big contributor on special teams collegiately on day one on the D1 level. Vaccarello has two D1 offers from power 5 FBS Boston College and FCS Duquesne currently.
Highlights
Chris is solid all-around at the QB position. He can make all the necessary throws and has good speed and quickness. He does a good job of having the proper mechanics when executing play-action. He throws with anticipation and has good ball placement on his passes. His mobility aids him when he runs the zone read from the quarterback position. Chris throws well on rollouts and has the athleticism it takes to keep defenses honest. He does a good job of keeping his eyes downfield when reading the defense. Chris is skilled at spreading the ball around to his targets.
Carter exhibits the ability to track and catch the ball, showcasing strong and reliable hands. He consistently generates significant yards after the catch (YAC) and possesses the potential to score a touchdown any time he has the ball. Carter poses a challenging matchup for defenders in man coverage down the field, utilizing his speed to make explosive plays. He excels at analyzing and adjusting his routes by accelerating back towards the ball. Carter displays fearlessness when making receptions over the middle or in congested areas, remaining unfazed by potential contact. He’s a 3 sport standout, further displaying the athleticism he possesses. He’s getting D1 attention for his recruitment but hasn’t been offered yet.
Lehman recently received his first FBS offer from Central Michigan University in the MAC. He has garnered high praise from many observers on Prep Redzone, further cementing his status as a highly regarded prospect. He delivers punishing hits and excels in making open-field tackles. When he blitzes, his speed off the edge overwhelms QBs, leaving them panicking to get rid of the ball. Lehman shines in run support, where he doesn’t leave any room for opposing ball carriers in the flat. He possesses violent hands and defeats blockers effortlessly. His motor is strong, and his football smarts aid him when analyzing plays. He has a knack for taking away flat throws and punishing QBs outside the pocket. His natural instincts assist him well when he’s pursuing running plays. His versatility as an overall athlete can be seen when he’s catching seam and fade passes at TE/H-back.
Tanner is definitely a college prospect worth keeping an eye on. He has good size as a potential scholarship OL at 6’1, 270 lbs. He’s skilled at reach blocking and pass protecting from the inside. Mindach also excels at pulling assignments and down blocking. He’s mobile, strong, and plays at a good pad level. Tanner is a solid seal and combo blocker as well. He gives good effort and has the nasty demeanor it takes to be a collegiate offensive lineman. He’s versatile, displaying the ability to also play emergency OT on the next level if needed.

Miller is another college prospect with an overall nasty disposition. He’s very physical, serving as the enforcer on the offensive line for Peters. He’s especially skilled at kick sliding during pass pro and pulling. He’s athletically gifted enough to get blocks on the second level. His strength, speed, and agility are evident when he has to fulfill pulling assignments. He’s a good combo blocker who also has a strong punch when pass protecting. Miller does a great job identifying the most dangerous pass rusher during DL stunts too.
Franco is another large scholarship prospect for Peters Township. He was a 2nd team all-conference DE in 2022 and is one of the team’s biggest returning weapons. The first thing I noticed about Franco was his explosive get-off at DL. He’s skilled at shooting gaps or crossing face and lives in the offensive backfield. He’s long-limbed and gives great effort during run pursuit. He has D1 speed and athleticism, recently clocking in at a 4.74 40-yard dash during summer workouts. His physicality and athleticism are further exhibited when he plays OT. He is a strong down blocker and a solid pass protector with a lot of time left for overall improvement. Franco is on multiple D1 radars and will have ample opportunities to promote his talents in ’23.
Highlights
Jake is a DL that demonstrates exceptional agility and smoothness in executing his pass rush techniques, effectively pressuring the QB. He possesses commendable strength and a quick initial burst off the line of scrimmage. Jake’s hands are forceful and skillful, allowing him to shed offensive linemen with ease. Despite his relatively light frame, his strong lower body provides him with stability when confronted with attempts to push him out of the line of scrimmage. As an offensive guard, Jake excels in pulling assignments, consistently finding and engaging his assigned defender aggressively.
Miller is another multi-sport athlete who shows a lot of collegiate potential at WR. His basketball skills translate well to the gridiron as far as athletic fluidity goes. Miller is fast off the ball and is quick in and out of his breaks. He runs crisp routes and has good hand-eye coordination. Miller is good at catching the ball and getting north and south quickly at wideout. I believe Miller is also a scholarship prospect who will be a deep threat this season for Peters. The ’24 athlete is quick-twitched with an athletic 6’1, 180 lbs frame. Miller has the type of ability that demands attention when he has the ball.
Nolan is a handful on both sides of the football. He’s a tough player that isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. DiLucia is a good tackler who aggressively runs the alley at Safety. He has coverage skills and displayed ball skills contesting passes from the back end. He’s competitive and tracks ball carriers adequately should they happen to break free. At QB, he’s agile and throws well off of play-action. He has a strong arm, evidenced on a couple of deep throws on his film. His athleticism will be a weapon should Peters decide to run designed QB keepers with him. Nolan has good overall QB mechanics, exhibiting good footwork within the pocket.

Ethan is a solid DB that displays competitiveness in any one-on-one situation. His sharp football IQ allows him to analyze and react to plays quickly. He’s a reliable open-field tackler who isn’t afraid of contact. He flashed good ball skills on a couple of interceptions he had on film last season. He does a good job of maintaining his cushion during coverage. At WR, he further exhibited his ball skills/playmaking ability on a couple of receptions. He has a good motor and runs the alley well on defense.

Parker plays with intensity, evident on various inside run clips. He does a good job at reading his keys and finding his fit on rushing plays. He’s tough and isn’t afraid of OL coming to block him in the box. He’s agile and displays fluidity tracking ball carriers when moving laterally. He’s an adequate disengager who gives a sideline-to-sideline effort in pursuit of the ball. He’s a naturally instinctive LB who plays with strength, speed, and quickness.
