As our TE1 for North Dakota’s 2024 class, Tony to my eyes certainly looked the part at NDSU’s prospect camp a couple weekends back. I liked watching how well crafted he was with how much overall balance he played with, as from his route-running ability to his catch radius, Tony had some of the best overall body control for his size I saw on the day amongst prospects with his similar measurables. Tony has a plethora of NSIC offers and I would expect the state’s number 1 TE to heat up in the coming months.
Cooper was out at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase this Spring and I was intrigued when I got to watch him in 1v1 reps how much work this young man has put in to his craft in the last two-three months. Where did Cooper pop out? To me, it was his agility and balance off his first steps in 1v1s, as he consistently showed more twitch and agile athletic movement off the snap that I saw in Aberdeen. This showed off that this kid has a quick learning curve as to me a upcoming stockriser in South Dakota’s 2025 class.

By far the most agile prospect I watched overall at the NDSU prospect is now a new NDSU football commit in Chanhassen running back Maxwell Woods Maxwell Woods 5’11” | 180 lbs | RB Chanhassen | 2024 State MN . Not only was Maxwell the most agile he also was one of the most instinctive running backs I got to watch as he just had a persistent knack with his vision and balance in Indy drills and 1v1s that played with also plenty of fluidity with his footwork. The Bison coaches and fan base should certainly celebrate getting this young man as his tape just as well is a blast to watch.

Jake Allex
Jake Allex
Jake was one of the “new names” that caught my eyes from the NDSU prospect camp starting with passing the eye test at 6’4 265 with a great frame to keep building with for those next-level suitors. For his size, I liked watching the hip flexibility Jake showed off as he showed off in 1v1s a solid bend with plenty of upside to grow with two more years to go at Marshall. When you roll Jake’s tape, college coaches will like what they see with Jake’s angle blocking as he gets great bases of leverage with the strength he shows off from his first step, which also has grown since the 2022 season. Jake also showed off some reactive footwork when I watched him move laterally. He certainly is a OL to watch for out of SW Minnesota in the 2025 class.
This was the first glimpses I got of our #1 overall prospect in North Dakota’s 2025 class in Bismarck’s Jack Shaffer Jack Shaffer 6’7″ | 320 lbs | OL Bismarck | 2025 State ND as he left a strong impression in my evaluation as to why we have him ranked in the number one spot. The power with his release in his 6’7 320 pound body with his first step from the reps I caught showed off plenty of instinct. I also was intrigued by what I saw out of Jack with the agile footwork he showed off when he had to significantly show off his bend in Indy Drills. He ended the reps I watched with outstanding leverage with all the strength he has and has some upside with growth with his pad-level. Jack showed off to me, that there is another offensive linemen coming out of Bismarck that is going to make some noise with Division I schools coming up soon.

Ethan is a prospect I evaluated at the UMD prospect camp last summer and from the looks I got out of him at the NDSU prospect camp, this kid has been a stockriser with his skillsets from last summer’s evaluation. Ethan in my eyes carried plenty of instinct with his athletic ability between the tackles when I watched him in Indy Drills with the running back group. His testing numbers also reflected what I saw too, as Ethan posted inside a 7.4 with his L-Drill and a 4.56 with his pro agility. Ethan shows off a surefire linebacker at the next-level with a excellent football IQ as this young man is the definition of a right place right time type of linebacker in my eyes. He also has an outstanding 4.0 GPA to appeal to those high academic schools on Saturdays.

Santana Miller
Santana Miller
Santana showed off some heavy amounts of physicality that I got to watch as a first look linebacker prospect out of Iowa City West. He showed off that downhill twitch of athletic movement consistently in the reps I watched up in Fargo and I liked watching how smooth Santana was with his contact level driving several ball carriers right in the chest on a consistent basis. When you dive into Santana on tape, you see almost exactly what I saw at the NDSU prospect camp, as this kid will punch you in the mouth every chance he gets as a linebacker that shows off some versatility defending the backfield in run/pass schemes. He also has really fluid vision in between the tackles and is plays with a chip on his shoulder. No offers yet, however Santana is a linebacker prospect even from our first look I would offer right now.
