The all conference selection from a year ago, was terrific for Massapequa as he led the Chiefs to a Nassau County title appearance. Dulanto threw for well over 1000 yards. He went against some great pass rushers, and Dulanto was cool in the pocket and was able to make throws through contact. He also was able to scramble and make some wonderful throws on the run. The gunslinger for the Chiefs was accurate and it was rare for him to make mistakes. I am very excited to see how he does in this QB challenge.
Jake Fields
Jake Fields
Smithtown East has looked good this offseason during 7v7’s and Jake Fields at QB will make this offense exciting. Last year he didn’t have the biggest or flashiest numbers but he made some impressive plays at QB. He looked great in the pocket and put his receivers in positions to succeed. He’s the captain for this Bulls team and it should be fun to see how he does in this QB challenge.
One of the most electrifying sophomores in New York state last season. Filardi is one of the best dual threat QB’s in the state and his feel for the game is incredible. He led Long Island public schools in touchdowns and made great decisions. He made a ton of impressive throws and he’s a true playmaker at the QB position. Filardi extended plays with his legs and he also formed incredible connections with fellow sophomores Anthony Raio Anthony Raio 6’0″ | 185 lbs | WR Half Hollow Hills West | 2025 NY and Jesse Brooks Jesse Brooks 6’2″ | 165 lbs | WR Half Hollow Hills West | 2025 State NY .
Highlights
The soon to be four year starter is one of the smoothest pocket passers in all of Suffolk county. His experience and maturity is evident in his game as he led Westhampton to a great season and a Suffolk County title appearance. He has a strong arm and plays bigger than he is. People should watch out for him during his senior year, he has the best supporting cast he’s had so far. Gambino has had a successful offseason and he’s an intriguing prospect in this QB challenge.
Shane Harmon
Shane Harmon
Lets not forget Oceanside has become a quarterback factory the last decade, including 2 Thorp award winners since 2017. The QB for the Sailors now is Shane Harmon and he might’ve had a quiet year but he was just a freshman. As a 2026 prospect he looked good on varsity against some great defenses in cofnrence one. The strides he made from week 1 to the playoffs was outstanding. I saw Harmon at the downstate classic, and Coach Blount has a terrific player on his hands. Harmon has a good arm and his potential is something to keep an eye on.
The Baldwin native was one of my favorite quarterbacks to watch last season. He led Baldwin to a successful season as they were just inches away from making the county title game. Johnson has exceptional size at 6 foot 4 and he was one of the best running quarterbacks in Nassau County. His athleticism and arm strength is a scary combination. He’s been constantly working on his craft as a passer this summer, so I’m excited to see Johnson in this QB challenge with the other top signal callers on Long Island.
Shane Kiernan
Shane Kiernan
In May I was impressed with Kiernan at the Suffolk County Showcase, he was one of the top 2026 QB’s at the event. While he didn’t start on varsity last year, he’s ready to take the keys to the kingdom for Miller Place. I’m excited to see Kiernan’s IQ put to the test in this QB challenge and he’s a 2026 prospect to follow here on Long Island
Mustafa Mozwalla
Mustafa Mozwalla
Mozwalla is going into his second year as the starting quarterback for Syosset. He was one of the most reliable QB’s in Nassau County last year after completing over 77 percent of his passes and going for over 1000 yards. Last year he unleashed a 60 yard bomb on a successful hail mary for Syosset. I’m excited to see his arm strentgh in the various drills he’ll go through during the QB challenge.
