was ranked as the 4th quarterback in the state and the Island’s second overall prospect. Filardi will be playing football and lacrosse at Syracuse which is an incredible achievement to say the least. He’s coming off a memorable junior season after recording well over 3,000 yards passing and also eclipsing 1,000 yards rushing. He is a favorite for the Hansen Award (given to Suffolk County’s top football player) for his senior year. Filardi came off an incredible lacrosse season, as his overall athleticism is up there with almost any prospect on Long Island.

Joseph Filardi was already committed to Syracuse for Lacrosse but after a recent visit truly doubled down on his commitment and will now be a dual-sport athlete at the ACC school where he will play quarterback for the football team in addition to what he was already planning on playing in Lacrosse for the Orange. Filardi is one of the most talented football players in the state but with his “double commitment” showcases he could be one of the best multi-sport athletes in the entire state.

The top 2025 quarterback on Long Island has already made a big impact on 3rd and Ten. He led them to the championship at “War on the Shore”, where his competitiveness and ability to make clutch plays were on display. Filardi is coming off a special junior season where he won the “Boomer Award” which is given to Long Island’s top quarterback. Filardi makes everyone around him better and will be a name to look out for in the new 2025 rankings coming out soon.

Filardi may be committed to Syracuse for Lacrosse but he shows a lot of potential at the quarterback position. Filardi just picked up his first football offer from Stony Brook. I would imagine that Filardi could be a highly sought-after dual-sport athlete for some programs. He is, to my knowledge, the first athlete in the state to hold division-one offers in multiple sports.

The junior quarterback had a historic season. Filardi broke the Long Island single season passing touchdown record with 44 TD’s in just 10 games this season. He threw for over 3,000 yards and also picked up over 1,000 yards and 10 scores on the ground. His mobility and improvisation skills are some of the best in New York, he is currently committed to Syracuse to play lacrosse.

It was another monster performance for Filardi and he continues to make an argument for being one of the top QB’s in New York. Filardi went 24/36 and posted 381 yards passing while adding 110 yards on the ground. He finished with 5 passing touchdowns and 1 rushing touchdown. There were two things that were extremely impressive with Filardi. His quick reads and decision making, and his ability to scramble and always make something happen. Kings Park was able to get pressure on Filardi in this game but it didn’t matter. He wasted no time getting rid of the football and he made accurate throws on his very quick decisions throughout the contest. He was also avoiding sacks left and right and was able to take off and gain a lot of yards. His ability to run at a high level and make tough throws on the run was impressive. He has a certain flow to his game and throws some of the best balls on Long Island.

One of the most exciting dual threat quarterbacks in the state. Filardi had his breakout sophomore year and he followed it up with a huge summer. He helped his team win two major 7v7 championships and he consistently fit in perfect passes in tight windows. His scrambling ability and watching him during broken plays will be very fun to see.

Filardi brought home the anticipation championship from this event. His footwork was incredible and it was nothing but precision from Filardi in multiple drills. In the mobility drill, he stood flat and was one of the faster quarterbacks, he completed both of those throws with ease. The second drill of the day tested anticipation and Filardi had a smooth 3 step drop and threw bullets that were perfectly on time to his receivers. He did a great job placing the ball throughout the event and she showed why he’s one of the top 2025 quarterbacks on Long Island.

One of the most electrifying sophomores in New York state last season. Filardi is one of the best dual threat QB’s in the state and his feel for the game is incredible. He led Long Island public schools in touchdowns and made great decisions. He made a ton of impressive throws and he’s a true playmaker at the QB position. Filardi extended plays with his legs and he also formed incredible connections with fellow sophomores
