Going 12-2 in 2022, Millville went on to win a state championship vs Northern Highlands. Leading up to that game, the team rallied and finished the season with a 9 game winning streak. The most impressive aspect of Millville’s team is a majority of their starters are returning in 2023. Millville joins the list of teams I could see going undefeated this fall.
Jacob Zamot Jacob Zamot 6’1″ | 190 lbs | QB Millville | 2025 NJ is one of New Jersey’s most impressive returning QBs. Throwing for the most yards in the state (3,158 yards), Jacob is set to light up the scoreboard once more in 2023. With 27 touchdowns last season Jacob unleashed a fury of downfield passes on defenses. He shows off his quick feet in the pocket by moving in and out and expressing some Patrick Mahomes’ like characteristics.
Please find me a better, QB, RB, and WR triple threat in NJ. I don’t think it’s possible. Jacob is exceptional at tossing the ball right over Lotzeir’s shoulder and placing it where only his guy can make a play on it. Jacob has very impressive arm strength that he uses to get the ball to the outside very quickly. With offers from Delaware State, Rhode Island, and Sacred Heart, this kid needs more offers ASAP.
Highlights
Na’eem Sharp
Na’eem Sharp
Na’eem Sharp is the secret weapon on Millville’s offense. The 2024 RB made a name for himself by running for 1,252 yards and 14 touchdowns last fall. A player with a lot of energy, Na’eem kept his feet moving and never stopped until he was forced to the ground. Na’eem may be a smaller sized back, but he plays big. He’s an extremely hard runner that won’t go down easy. What is most impressive about Na’eem is his raw speed. He is an explosive sprinter that can cross up defenders feet with one cut. Na’eem deserves a lot more attention from college scouts.
Not much needs to be said about Lotzeir Brooks Lotzeir Brooks 5’11” | 170 lbs | WR Millville | 2025 State NJ . Already well known throughout the country, Lotzeir has absolutely dominated all defensive backfields he’s gone up against. Bringing in over 1000 receiving yards as a sophomore and 16 offensive touchdowns, Lotzeir is dangerous regardless of where he is on the field. Whether he is close to the end zone or the team is starting on their own 10 yard line, Lotzeir can beat the the defender to the pile on or go 90 yards for a long touchdown.
You could make the argument that he is the fastest receiver in the state, it is going to cost you if you take a poor angle on him. Most teams will need to double cover him in 2023 if they want to slow him down. With offers from Oregon, Louisville, Georgia, Penn State, Texas A&M, and many other, Lotzeir is becoming nationally recognized very quickly.
Shakeim Sapp
Shakeim Sapp
Shakeim Sapp is a big time defensive lineman for Millville. With 23 tackles and 6 sacks in 2022, Shakeim is sure to put up even more impressive stats this fall. Shakeim played defensive end and tackle last season, and played both positions very well. He is a smaller player on the defensive line but was able to match up well against the bigger O linemen. Shakeim is very quick on his feet and explodes off of the line. He is fast enough to pursue runners down the line and get them within his grasp. Look for Shakeim to make some big plays on the QB in 2023.
Kyon Conyers Kyon Conyers 5’11” | 160 lbs | DB Millville | 2024 State NJ is another player that deserves more collegiate recognition. A tall safety, Kyon surveyed the field and was a reliable last line of defense for Millville. Playing up high, Kyon made some game changing interceptions in 2022. With 54 tackles and 5 interceptions, Kyon did a great job at keeping the play in front of him. It is unlikely any receiver will get behind him. A great open field tackler, Kyon is going to deliver a blow to receivers over the middle that will shake the ball loose.
