After breaking down some of the most impressive performers from the event, here’s my evaluation of some of Kentucky’s most significant receiving talent in the class of 2027.
At the top of my list of standouts is Kaleb Warner Kaleb Warner WR Trinity | 2027 KY , a high-level wide receiver out of the Bluegrass State that contributed major offensive efficiency down the stretch during the Kentucky Future Stars Game last month. In addition to outstanding size, speed and footwork, what stands out about Warner is his ability to blast past defenders and remain open for clean passes and deep shots into the backfield. The rising star additionally caught my eye with his quickness off the snap and ability to juke out defenders in the redzone.

Claiming the number two spot on my list of standouts is Gavin Johnson Gavin Johnson 6'1" | 185 lbs | ATH Hazard | 2027 State KY , a highly versatile wide receiver from the Bluegrass State that made significant offensive contributions during the Kentucky Future Stars Game. In addition to excellent size, speed and explosiveness down the stretch, what stands out about Johnson is his physicality in coverage, using his toughness to muscle defensive backs out of his way. The rising star also impressed with his catching ability in the backfield and in the endzone, making a major impact for Team Kentucky last month.
Finishing at number three on my list of standouts is Jayce Duvall Jayce Duvall WR Trinity | 2027 State KY , an incredibly talented receiver talent from the Bluegrass State that left it all on the field during the Kentucky Future Stars Game last month. What stands out about Duvall is his overall game awareness, footwork and quickness off the snap, blasting past defensive coverage into the open field. Another aspect of Duvall’s game that stood out was his ability to juke out, push off and overpower defensive backs in the backfield and endzone. The rising star showcased his consistent catching ability as well.

In the number four spot on my list of standouts is Nicholas Ranson Nicholas Ranson 5'8" | 150 lbs | RB Scott County | 2027 State KY , an incredibly athletic wide receiver from the Bluegrass State that made significant contributions on the offensive side of the ball during the Kentucky Future Stars Game last month. In addition to his electric speed and overwhelming physicality down the stretch, what stands out about Ranson is his ability to use his footwork and explosive movement to juke out defenders and haul in clean passes. The rising star also caught my eye with his ability to constantly break tackles.
Coming in at number five on my list of standouts is Kade Goodin Kade Goodin 6'2" | 170 lbs | QB Collins | 2027 State KY , a talented wide receiver prospect out of the Bluegrass State that made his presence known on the field during the Kentucky Future Stars Game last month. Goodin is nearly unstoppable down the stretch, utilizing his size, speed and physicality to become ungroundable for Team Tennessee’s defense. The rising star on Team Kentucky’s roster additionally impressed me with his ability to push off the defense off the snap and escape into the open field.
