Continue ReadingSignificant tape was hard to come by via Coatesville’s Hudl concerning the offensive line unit, so it’s a bit tough from my perspective to really dive deep into what that unit might look like this coming Fall. One thing I do know, Coach Bonner and HFC Matt Ortega have got these kids working. Above, I’ve got 2025 prospect Cole Plant Cole Plant 6’3″ | 260 lbs | OL Coatesville | 2025 State PA listed along with stud incoming freshman Maxwell Hiller Maxwell Hiller 6’5″ | 290 lbs | OL Coatesville | 2027 State PA . Other names to know include Davion Pierce, Tommy McAnally, and Quashad Butcher to name a few. I personally couldn’t find much tape, yet I do see those kids working to get better on Twitter.
Cole Plant Cole Plant 6’3″ | 260 lbs | OL Coatesville | 2025 State PA ‘s tape looked promising, a sophomore tape that showed off his movement skills at left guard. Some pulling reps, some reach blocking reps. Good size, 6’3, 260+ pounds too. He’s a kid I want to get on my 2025 database. Maxwell Hiller Maxwell Hiller 6’5″ | 290 lbs | OL Coatesville | 2027 State PA , a young man praised by my colleague Al Popadines, will likely see some kind of role as an incoming freshman. 6’4, 260-pound, Penn-State is actively recruiting, offering him on May 11th. No matter how special a freshman, they’ll still have to earn any spot given to them. Hiller is obviously physically gifted beyond his years, I’d imagine he’s being molded to perfection right now.

This group will boast Coatesville’s top-ranked prospect, that being recent Richmond-commit Amir Haskett Amir Haskett 5’10” | 190 lbs | ATH Coatesville | 2024 State PA , who was recently placed inside the top 100, the highest ranking of his career. Haskett’s junior tape conveys awesome pass/run play recognition pre and post-snap. This is one smart football player who can diagnose passing concepts on the fly when at DB. I like the kid’s skillset at DB, enamored with it, yet you have to respect his two-way prowess. His athleticism and explosiveness is on full display when split out wide. His play at DB is a bit nuanced, a ton of technique on display. Contrastingly reliant on speed and athleticism when on the other side of the field. His tape provides a wide spectrum of what you could see this coming Fall. Such a pleasure to watch.
Jayvon Scott Jayvon Scott 5’8″ | 155 lbs | ATH Coatesville | 2024 State PA is a kid who tore up our PRZ Camp this year, his performance was pointed out by multiple PSAC coaches in attendance. Expect slot responsibilities on both sides of the ball. Incredible body control and balance make him an ideal weapon to deploy in the slot on offense primarily. Expect Jayvon to cook as a return man as well.
Jaqwan Scott is a name I have written down. No Hudl, not much on Twitter, yet I imagine he could be a name worth stashing.
Matt Luton
Matt Luton
I’ve got 900+ seniors on our database, somehow I missed this stud, the 2022 team leader in sacks at Coatesville.
6’2, 205-pound edge rusher/ OLB. 1st-Team All-Chestmont, 2nd-Team All-Area honors after his junior campaign. Avid and promising wrestler which should help his recruitment. He’s got room to fill under his pads, that 205 could turn into 225 easily. Great pursuit to the BC after disengaging up front. Has reps with hand in the dirt as well as without. Would easily place as a top 35 EDGE DL if ranked inside 2024 class today. Still raw in terms of technique rushing around tackles. He’s a name I’m excited to share with coaches moving forward.
Francisco Hall
Francisco Hall
Here’s a prospect Coatesville likes to have a bit of fun with. Francisco Hall, seen lining up in the offensive backfield, is beefy enough to lead block as a FB but his tape opens up with him hitting the flat and catching the rock for a score. You can find him primarily lining up in B-gaps and stopping run sets in their tracks. A phenomenal build that suits this role well, even though many might see his build as “light”. Said light frame allows him to be slippery off the snap, he’s often in the backfield pressuring handoffs or passes before the offense can react. A highly underrated prospect who should play off Luton well.
If Coatesville deploys a three-man front, you can expect Luton, Hall, and 2025 stud prospect Takiyah Lynch Takiyah Lynch 6’3″ | 255 lbs | DL Coatesville | 2025 State PA to fill in the role inside the two listed above. Interestingly enough, Takiyah Lynch Takiyah Lynch 6’3″ | 255 lbs | DL Coatesville | 2025 State PA boasts the prototypical pass-rushing build. 6’3 and some change, 250 pounds yet very lean cut, Lynch will likely play in the A-gaps, wreaking havoc against much smaller linemen who will have trouble countering this young man’s power/speed combination. Lynch is going to rank very well when we update 2025s. Expect some creative roles in the future, maybe EDGE, maybe TE, maybe even OL at some point down the line. A special kid that just needs some exposure.
Excited to see what Marquise Washington Marquise Washington 5’8″ | 175 lbs | LB Coatesville | 2025 PA can provide the Coatesville front seven, as well as possibly the secondary. Washington is still on WL as we await new tape. I’m excited to give him a real evaluation down the line.
Highlights
Terry Wiggins Terry Wiggins 6’4″ | 195 lbs | LB Coatesville | 2026 State PA is a name that stood out to me on Twitter. 20266 kid, 6’4, 190-pounds, tight frame. Says he’s an OLB, yet I couldn’t muster up much of any tape on the kid. I wonder what his role could be moving forward. Seems to hold promise so long as he is in the weight room and is coachable on the field.
Connor Rickabaugh Connor Rickabaugh 6’0″ | 200 lbs | LB Coatesville | 2024 State PA will likely be the man holding down the fort and manning the middle linebacker position behind Luton, Lynch, and Hall. A special foursome without even mentioning the back end of the defense, or who is going to play alongside Rickabaugh. The senior linebacker is well-versed in all things run-stopping. Hardly and false steps on tape, not too much hesitation in his game, the two are standard traits you want from your starting MLB, one who could get looks to play at the next level. Rickabaugh’s tape exemplifies those two traits.
The second top-150 prospect on the roster, third if you’re counting Takiyah Lynch Takiyah Lynch 6’3″ | 255 lbs | DL Coatesville | 2025 State PA in the future. Armon Richardson Armon Richardson 6’0″ | 185 lbs | DB Coatesville | 2024 State PA currently holds one Division One offer out of Saint Francis, boasts an 11.3 100m time, a 3.8 GPA, as well as a 74in wingspan. Armon Richardson Armon Richardson 6’0″ | 185 lbs | DB Coatesville | 2024 State PA will likely provide quality pass-catching reps for Coatesville this upcoming season, yet he provides real value attacking the run, filling the ally, and playing passing concepts from his safety position. I’m unfamiliar with who calls the defensive huddle, who gets the plays from the sideline, or who barks out orders, yet Armon Richardson Armon Richardson 6’0″ | 185 lbs | DB Coatesville | 2024 State PA ‘s game screams that type of energy and leadership. Not often do coaches have DBs they can fully trust and rely on. Based solely on his tape, I get that vibe from Richardson. Deemed a top 20 DB in his class, yet that’s hardly his ceiling. Exemplary diagnosing skills, ball skills translate to both sides of the field. Fantastic field awareness suited for his safety position. Multi-alignment versatile if need be. Can play single-high if called upon, can serve as an emergency corner too.
Highlights
Probably the purest corner on the team not named Amir Haskett Amir Haskett 5’10” | 190 lbs | ATH Coatesville | 2024 State PA . As you can tell by reading this piece, many players at Coatesville will be asked to play both ways, especially at WR/DB. Coatesville will still station promise everywhere, each of these two-way athletes are special in their own right. Donte London Donte London 5’11” | 165 lbs | DB Coatesville | 2024 State PA is no different. He too received an offer out of Saint Francis recently. Slot and outside corner capable. Capable pass-catcher anywhere on offense. London is going to solidify one of the better secondaries in District One. Watch for London to receive more FCS interest after the first three games of the season. As well as some PSAC love.
