The 6’2″ 204 King was a return attendee who was impressive as a freshman last year and earned multiple D1 offers following his sophomore season. He has good speed, is exceptionally quick and loves to hit. Jason is everything colleges look for in a linebacker and is a tremendous playmaker in games I saw last season. Despite the offers he came into to combine to compete and work on becoming an even better player, and he did not disappoint on either. His 4.06 pro agility time was among the best regardless of position. He continues to grow physically and is a worker to improve his skills. It’s no wonder that he has offers from Kentucky, UNLV, Miami (OH), Ball State and others. Look for even more schools to calling following his junior season.

Key was still attending Lutheran St. Charles when he attended the combine but has since transferred to East St. Louis (IL). Despite that he deserves to be mentioned among this group of big-time LBs who crushed it on this Missouri site. The 6’2″ 190 LaGrant has played DE on varsity starting as a freshman but has moved to the outside linebacker spot. He was a top performer at last year’s combine as a defensive end and came back to work out at linebacker this time. He tested well showing good speed with a 4.72 laser forty and 33″ vertical jump. We already knew he was a blur off the edge but he showed good pass defender ability in one on ones and should be one of the top linebackers in Illinois. Kelan has early offers from Arkansas, West Virginia, Memphis and Boston College.

A name on the rise who has had a dominant spring and summer. Eliot put up impressive numbers at the combine at 6’3″ 205 with a 4.66 laser forty time, a 9’10” broad jump, a 32″ vertical jump and 4.4 pro agility shuttle. He also crushed it in drills and one on ones as one of the most athletic linebackers to come through the combine. Hummer also get it done on the field and caught my attention at games last season with his speed and physical play. He racked up 53 tackles and 3 sacks as a sophomore. He showed the ability to play all the linebacker positions as well as great ability to rush the quarterback off the edge.
