The state of Nebraska dominated this final list as athletic mobility was a key skillset that popped out big time from this group. Have a look at the standouts!
Landon showed off some impressive hip flexibility from what I caught at the Augustana prospect camp. I always pay attention to prospects in early drills to see if they either check the boxes from the eye test or their attention to detail in their reps, and Landon checked those boxes When I got to watch Landon work the pocket, I saw some smooth poise in his pocket presence consistently throughout the Augie camp and he showed off solid attention to detail with his solid vision improvising if the defense was playing in his grill. He showed off a quick release especially on intermediate routes that I caught. Landon is a QB prospect out of Lincoln Northwest that I see as a late summer bloomer without an offer yet, and one that that will need an impressive senior season to get his recruiting trail brewing as a quarterback that fits the ideal measurables for the position for the next-level. Andrew from the early session showed off a highly impressive agility with his hip flexibility from the early reps I watched at the Augustana prospect camp and is one that I could already catch his depth with change of direction in the interior trenches of the offensive line. Deeper into testing, Andrew showed off high levels of longevity with the finish of his reps as at 6’1 285 pounds he played with much more athletic movement than you would have expected from a first look. A first team all-conference performer as a junior for the Mustangs, Andrew puts that agility to the test as an interior offensive lineman that has smooth angle blocking traits and plenty of strength to laterally move to either his right or left side. I certainly believe college football programs at the Division II level are missing out on this young man, as he is going to be a steal at the WIAC or MIAC level if they don’t identify him as a IOL prospect to know quick! Colby is a QB prospect that not once, but twice this summer at an NSIC prospect camp made my list as a standout from the day. The Gross Catholic (NE) quarterback showed off growing flexibility in his early reps in his lower body and although slightly undersized, certainly played way bigger than his measurables will show you. Colby is a three-level thrower that has plenty of arm strength at his disposable and on tape checks my boxes for his ball placement with ample precision on those deeper routes he consistently throws at his wide receivers. Colby is also effective at 6’1 175 getting yards after contact and has some damaging burst and agility that can bounce off would-be tacklers around the edges of the field. I see Colby as a late summer bloomer that should get more attention in the coming months from the Division II and NAIA levels. Twitter

Noah is another Midwest prospect that has caught my eyes on multiple occasions this summer, starting at The Line Showcase as well as the Augustana prospect camp a few Mondays ago. Noah is an IOL prospect that has seen his stock-risen with improving his vision this summer with his reads and attention to detail with his growing pad-level within those inside reads. He also has developed showing off much more fluidity with his lower body when it comes to his footwork as he’s gotten a more catchy first step about to fire thru a drive block. Noah also has grown his agility laterally on tape to cater to both sides of the line more efficiently, as you will certainly see this on his senior tape in the next handful of months how much lengthy Noah has gotten in his athleticism with his growing 6’0 255 pound frame. The fact that Noah is still without his first offer, is mind-blowing to me based on how much he has developed this summer. In my opinion, Noah is one of the biggest IOL sleepers in the 2024 class in Northwest Iowa. Twitter

Johnny showed off some jackrabbit looking instincts in his athleticism at the Augustana prospect camp a couple weeks ago. I believe when you wind up Johnny’s tape the in-person evaluation shows more juice in this kid’s game speed than you see on tape. Johnny is a swiss-army knife on both sides of the ball, and shows some well-balanced football IQ for wherever he is on the field. As a 2024 athlete, Johnny’s best next-level fit to me looks as a strong safety, as his combination of skillsets in pass and run coverage sticks out as an asset that can develop with his ball-tracking ability but still has some sideline to sideline athleticism to see the field strongly with his vision. Johnny is another prospect on this list. He will certainly entice some small school college football programs this fall, as Johnny is trending towards a big senior season for the Chargers. Twitter
Anthony was a first look running back for me out of Nebraska that made some noise in the early session at the Augustana prospect camp. He showed off a catchy and balanced vertical that caught my eyes during the testing session. He also showed off instinct with his change of direction from the reps I caught into the Indy drills later in the camp session. Anthony on tape certainly knows how to get out of a jam and swiftly, as he needs just a couple quick cuts to get downhill with his well-versed start to finish burst that finishes with significant adrenaline. He has plenty of explosion to offer for the running back position as he recorded a 6.96 L-Drill and a 9’7.5 at the Wayne State prospect camp recently. Anthony certainly is going to put up a fight amongst coaches in the NSIC for his next-level talents in my eyes that is for sure. Twitter
