Continue ReadingHe has a nice burst out of his breaks to achieve separation from cornerbacks and a second gear to dart for extra yardage after the catch. Many big receivers are not as twitchy or flexible as Bunn is. He will dodge and juke defenders in the open field, and he uses that ability to get off the line of scrimmage when facing press-man coverage. With enough speed to get vertical, Bunn attacks defenses at every level and is a threat to make big plays downfield.
Highlights
Devonte Mckinney
Devonte Mckinney
Mckinney is an advanced route runner. Many 2026 receivers struggle to run routes as fluidly as Mckinney does. He has lower body flexibility and can sink his hips to turn quickly. Mckinney’s natural ability and instincts can be seen with him showing late hands to trick defenders when their back is turned, and he tracks the ball extremely down the field. Mckinney is just a natural football player.
Byers shows a nice burst to get upfield on wide receiver screens, and he uses his imposing size and strength to run through tacklers. While Byers is an elusive runner who will juke defenders, he does well to pick up yards after the catch and has the strength to break tackles. In the open field, Byers makes it hard to get caught from behind by defensive backs.
Kyle Boice
Kyle Boice
Boice catches the ball with his hands and is dangerous once he has made the reception. With elusive moves and cutting ability, Boice will rip off yards after contact and make some tacklers look bad as they grasp at air after Boice has already darted past them. Even though he is not a big receiver, Boice shows toughness to fight through tackles, plus he is willing to dish out some violence to tacklers himself.
Smith is explosive off the line of scrimmage and shows twitchy moves out of his break to create separation from defensive backs. Smith also is a threat to beat coverage deep by using his speed on verticals, while his quickness out of his breaks makes him a dangerous route-runner who will get open. Smith tracks the ball well and shows impressive concentration to lock in receptions even with defenders bearing down on him, despite the potential to take huge hits.
