[player_tooltip player_id='824746' first='Carlin' last='Long'] - RB - 2024 - Huntsville

Long is a fluid, productive runner with projectable size and the ability to stay upright. Long doesn't pop off the charts when it comes to speed and explosiveness, but he is a natural athlete and plays with outstanding instincts and an advanced understanding for the game. Long has the vision and patience to piece his way through the line of scrimmage and pinpoint running lanes in the secondary. His combination of balance, body control, and his 6'0 200 frame allows him to absorb contact well and remain upright when lumbering down the field. Long plays with little to no wasted movement in his game. Simply put, he is a natural talent at the RB position with the ability to get north and south while staying upright. Long has D1 offers and could see more come his way soon.

Ken Cherry - RB - 2024 - Madison Academy

Cherry is an exceptionally explosive athlete that runs with a mission. He runs with max effort on every snap and is a touchdown threat once he's in the open field. Cherry has a thin, athletic 5'11 frame. He has plenty of area to fill out and become a more physical threat at the point of contact. Cherry runs with little to no hesitation in his game, once he finds an opening, he puts his cleats in the ground and begins to separate. He plays with fantastic body control, showing the ability to decelerate, tightrope, and recover. With his ability to make plays in space, Cherry also poises as a legit receiving threat. As far as sleepers are concerned, Cherry is one of the most gifted prospects I have evaluated. I believe there is FBS upside here.

Austin Chambers - OL/DL - 2024 - Madison Academy

Chambers is an uber-athletic linemen with a lot of upside on both sides of the football. Chambers lines up at nose tackle where he shows plenty of lateral mobility. He has a thin, athletic 6'2 265 frame with outstanding length. His length makes for a large tackling radius in the gaps. Once he gets even bigger and is able to anchor down even more, he could be more productive as a tackler than your typical defensive lineman. Chambers plays with good pad level and has the ability to bend and twist around offensive linemen. With his athleticism, he probably will play a little farther outside of his usual NT spot. His athleticism translates to the offensive side of the ball as well. He can fly downfield as a blocker and match up well with faster defenders coming off the edge. I project Chambers best as a defensive lineman where he can put his bend, athleticism, and tackling prowess on full display. Chambers is a clear D1 talent with a few offers.

Jalyn Chambers - DB - 2024 - Sparkman

Chambers is a speedy, fiery, downhill defender with some fun tape to watch. At first, you notice his exceptional speed, playmaking ability, and range. He can break on underneath routes efficiently to break up passes in the short and intermediate game, showing great explosiveness and instincts. He also does an excellent job of locating the ball in the air and flipping his hips to run to the spot. With the ball in his hands, he puts his athleticism on full display. He has quick feet with a fluid lower body. The more you watch his tape, the more you notice his ability to strike. When left unblocked, he can launch ball carriers off his feet. He also has the motor and aggressiveness to fight through blockers to make a play. Champers has the speed, length, and ball skills to play outside as a corner. However, his ability to come downfield and strike makes him a candidate to stick long-term at safety as well. Either way, Chambers has a D1 grade, he recently added an offer from Murray State.

Josh Ward - QB - 2024 - Sparkman

Ward is a sneaky creative QB prospect with solid marksmanship. Ward certainly looks the part of a respectable QB prospect, standing on a solid 6'3 200 frame. He moves well for a bigger QB prospect, evading pressure in the pocket and can make plays with his legs once he finds space. Ward has a longer, gun-slinger-style release. He puts plenty of touch on the deep ball and can throw with pinpoint accuracy at times, making life easier on his receivers. When attacking the middle of the field and tighter windows, he is able to shorten up his release to get the ball out quicker. On top of his physical tools, he is tough to bring down in the pocket and does a great job of keeping his eyes downfield while he keeps the play alive. Ward is an underrated QB prospect who should get a shot at the next level.
