The LB position is one of the most versatile and important positions on the field. Not only do you have to quarterback the defense, but you also have to be capable of making an impact in numerous different ways. Here are a few dynamic Georgia LBs that you should have on your radar.

Kevin Henderson - 2024 - Cass

Henderson is a sleeper LB prospect that has started to see his stock rise over the last few months. Henderson is a stout 6'0 205, playing low to the ground and has the sheer broadness and strength to hold his own in the run game. His size and power allows him to blow up blockers and take on offensive linemen without getting completely washed out of the play. Where he really stands out is his coverage ability. He isn't built like your typical lengthy coverage LB with a lot of range, but he is extremely disciplined in space and has natural hands to come down with the football. In fact, he had several INTs on the season, bringing a few back for TDs. Henderson won't wow anyone coming off the bus, but he can hold his own physically and is a very well-rounded player. Henderson will get a deserved crack at the D1 level.

Lawson Pritchett - 2024 - Rabun Gap

Labeling Pritchett as just a LB doesn't do his game justice. It's best to label this guy as a playmaker. Pritchett is a solid 6'3 200 pound frame and has excellent athleticism. He plays all over the field on defense and looks the part of a LB/S hybrid defender. Pritchett is a striker with a lot of range. He comes downfield aggressively and has the violence to deliver some mean contact. He has the speed to get to the football in a hurry and has the strength to completely blast through any blocker in his path. He is simply an elite run and chase defender with a mean streak. We mentioned that he was a good athlete, and he backs it up by playing on the offensive side of the ball at a high level too. I don't know if Pritchett projects as a traditional LB prospect, but he is a violent playmaker regardless of where he lines up on the field.

Collin Kungu - 2024 - Alpharetta

Kungu is a bendy LB prospect with visible upside. There is a lot to like about his physical traits. He has good size at 6'1 220 with long arms. Kungu is more athletic than your typical LB prospect and looks almost like a DB lined up in the middle of the field. He isn't a thumper that will light up the run game in the gaps, but he is a natural tackler with a large tackling radius thanks to his reach. He also has the twitchiness to mirror ball carriers and has the speed to run sideline to sideline. Kungu is an instinctual player that still has a lot of physical development ahead of him. I see him as a true late bloomer prospect that could have a variety of D1, potentially P5 opportunities once signing day rolls around.

Joshua Pgouda - 2024 - South Paulding

Pgouda is a compact defender that plays a violent brand of football. Pgouda isn't off the charts when it comes to length, but he has a muscular frame and good flexibility in his lower half. Pgouda diagnoses the run well and shoots gaps quickly and violently. Once he meets the RB in the hole, he strikes with good pad level and drives. There is noticeable run and chase ability. It's clear that he has the knack for getting to the football in a hurry and can completely eviscerate outside leverage from skill players. Pgouda's explosiveness off the snap and motor gives him some pass rushing ability as a blitzer. He shows the ability to keep his feet moving and fight off blockers as he relentlessly works his way to the QB. At the very least, Pgouda will offer a lot of value on 3rd down and special teams. His ceiling however, is an every down thumper in the middle of the field.

Michael Hastie - 2025 - Douglas County

Despite Hastie having several P5 offers under his belt, this is the first time i've evaluated his tape. Hastie is a two-way athlete with clear P5 upside as both an RB and a LB. Hastie has the speed and size combination that P5 programs are in constant pursuit of. He can get to the football in a hurry, play well in space, and break his way through blockers with ease. He is a lengthy, well-built prospect with natural physical leverage over ball carriers and a large tackling radius. I'm a huge fan of his game as a RB. His twitchiness, elusiveness, and playmaking ability are on full display. Hastie is the youngest LB on this list, which means there's a good chance that you will hear his name pop up on the recruiting scene very soon. He's on the verge of earning national recruit status.
