DeJuandre Riggins – Southwest
One of the more underrated 2024 wide receivers in 2A, Riggins is a big 6-foot-3 165-pounder with excellent ball skills. An easy vertical threat, all you need to do is throw the ball in the air, and let Riggins go up and snag it. He can make a tough catch in double coverage and shows the ability to be a real weapon in the red-zone. He does a great job of catching the ball at it’s highest point, and if he continues to develop his route running and ability to create separation on his own, Riggins has a chance to have a dominant senior season this fall. He still hasn’t scratched the surface of his potential, and he should be a nightmare for defensive backs to cover this upcoming season. As a junior last year, Riggins caught an impressive 40 passes for 638 yards and four touchdowns. Look for him to score a lot more touchdowns next season with the potential to earn some D1 offers if he keeps improving.
Kellen Echols – Appling County
Like Riggins, Echols is an underrated wideout who can win plenty of jump-balls down the field. At 6-foot-2 180-pounds, the Appling County standout showed easy D1 talent last year, catching 24 passes for 434 yards and five touchdowns. He’s a great option down the field who tracks the ball well in the air and consistently catches the ball well over his shoulder. He’s getting better and better and should have a breakout junior season this upcoming season. We really shined as a sophomore last year and will likely be asked to serve an even bigger role in the Appling County offense next year. He needs to run different routes, but if Appling County needs a big play, he’s always an option down the field in single coverage. If he develops as a route-runner this fall as a junior, he could be tough to stop for opposing 2A defenses all year long. He’s a name to know, and he’s bound for a big 2023 season.
A new wide receiver prospect to know in Macon, Conciauro is a long, athletic, playmaking receiver who knows how to leap high in the air and win jump-balls. At 6-foot-3 185-pounds, he’s put together well for his size and can use his big frame to make plays over smaller defensive backs. He showed impressive ball skills, reliable hands, and body control when in the air. He’s a vertical threat who has a knack for making plays down the field. He still has some developing to do as far as improving his route tree, but there’s still plenty of time to improve that part of his game. He’s a natural talent who can make a tough catch. He has a high ceiling, and with his already D1-caliber frame, this Middle Georgia wideout could see some offers come his way down the road. As a freshman last year, Conciauro caught 14 passes for 313 yards and four touchdowns. Look for those numbers to improve in a big way as a sophomore this fall.
