Taz Smith – 2024 – WR – Johns Creek
Smith is a dynamic slot receiver who can play all over the field and did so in 6 games last year for Johns Creek. After watching tape and seeing Smith perform in person, Smith is an explosive athlete with natural WR skills. He is quick off the line and is a twitchy route runner who can create natural separation. For a smaller receiver, he has a large catch radius and has the vertical to scale over defenders to make a play on the ball. Smith has natural hands, remaining in phase when he catches the football and can pluck the ball away from defenders. For further proof of his athleticism and playmaking ability, look at how he performs with the ball in his hand. He is a dangerous returner who can weave in and out of running lanes while remaining at full speed. Smith also plays some at DB, and can take direct snaps out of the backfield. If you don’t have an angle on him, he has the top-end speed to run away from the defenders. Smith is a clear D1 contributor at WR who should have his biggest year yet in 2023.
Nigel Agyemang – 2024 – ATH – Creekview
I have been ringing the bell for Agyemang since last offseason, mostly because I think he has the physical traits and athleticism to develop into a big-time contributor at the FBS level. Agyemang is all of 6’2 215 and carries his weight very well. He has a proportional build and looks more and more developed every time I see him in person. He has taken most of his reps at RB, where his athleticism can be put on full display. He moves a lot better than typical players at his size and can run right over defenders once he gets going downhill. He is obviously still growing and developing the finer parts of his game as he is fairly new to football, but he looks the part of an RB prospect that has P5 tools. Agyemang might also line up at LB some this year, but he projects long-term as an RB. His best football is ahead of him. If somebody takes a flyer on him, the ceiling of their RB room has grown exponentially.
Marceil Henifield – 2024 – WR – Gainesville
Henifield is a prime candidate to be a late riser on the recruiting scene, and it doesn’t take a whole lot of film-watching to understand why. Since arriving at Gainesville this offseason, Henifield looks to have started maxing out his frame and has generally developed more as a WR prospect. He is long, athletic, and can make plays all over the field. After watching Henifield in person earlier this year, it’s clear that he will be targeted often as he can be a real matchup threat on the outside. He has good ball skills and strong hands, which allow him to rise over defenders and make plays when you pair those traits together with his length and athleticism. Henifield is an absolute riser on the recruiting trail who could generate a lot of high-level attention this fall.
Landon Walker – 2025 – QB – Woodward Academy
After slowly creeping onto the radar for a few years now, Walker is expected to break through this fall for Woodward Academy. While Walker has put up limited production on varsity up to this point, the athleticism and sheer football talent are evident. In fact, he already has a P5 offer under his belt from Louisville. Walker is a twitchy athlete in the pocket with plenty of arm talent. He has a quick, clean delivery and can put a lot of force on the ball with just the flick of his wrist. He shows good pocket mechanics and does a good job of deciding when to tuck and run vs when to hang back in the pocket. Walker can make all the off-platform throws and is comfortable on the move, something that remains consistent in QBs that also come from a baseball background. Walker has the athletic ability and arm talent to produce. He is absolutely ready for a bigger stage, and should get that opportunity this fall.
Nathan Agyemang Nathan Agyemang 6'4" | 195 lbs | WR Creekview | 2026 GA – 2026 – WR – Creekview
Nathan is the second of the Agyemang brothers that I’ve mentioned in this article, and he too has serious upside. Agyemang is just getting his feet wet on the football gridiron, coming over from the basketball court, where he is also a pretty impressive prospect. The physical tools for Agyemang are phenomenal. He is all of 6’4 with an exceptionally long wingspan. He is also a very fluid athlete with outstanding agility and leaping ability that he brings over from the hardwood. He will have to refine his football-specific movements and a general understanding of the game, but then again, he is only just now headed into his sophomore season. He still might be another year or so away from his peak production, but once he gets varsity film up this year, I think the P5 attention will skyrocket. His ceiling is P5 contributor, and those that have seen him play in person will understand why.
