Continue ReadingTracy Ford and his crew of blue-chips continued their tour of the Southern schools today at the University Of Miami. They showed their dominance against other top competition in the Hurricanes Prospect Camp, with the four young prodigies all making big impressions. Here’s a look at how the visit transpired for each one.
Rainey-Sale is said to have put on a show today, which many have seen him do in the Pacific Northwest; but it’s unsurprising considering how well-rounded his game has become. The big time LB posed with Coach Cristobal holding up the U after camp, which has seen his name begin to gain the respect down South that he’s earned up here. He can blitz off the edge like a monster yet covers the shiftiest and fastest guys inside the hashes, and there’s little he can’t do on defense at this point. If he’s not one of the best in the country yet, he can’t be far off. Miami is the third school from the sunshine state to offer Zay in the last two days.
Rusher after rusher came at Manning in the camp, as can be seen in a twitter video from Tracy’s account; but whether it’s Washington or Florida, Demetri has demolished everyone who’s come into his path in recent months. The 10th Grader has continued to grow in all aspects, now being touted as 6’8″ while suddenly becoming one of the best pass blockers known to scouts. His ability to set his feet while using his hands is just great now, when he’s always been able to get low and maul with efficient force in the run game. It’s no surprise he walked away with a new offer from Coach Cristobal today.
FA continued to impress the U’s coaching staff, who were one of the first schools to offer him in what seems like a long time ago. If his recent post is any indication, the youngster seems to have a soft spot for the staff, who could be looking to build a pipeline from across the country to regain their status among the upper echelon of talent-getters in the entire FBS. He said he learned a ton from both Defensive Line coach Joe Salave’a, highly regarded in the PNW from his time with Coach Cristobal in Oregon from 2017-2021, and Pro Football Hall Of Famer Jason Taylor who currently coaches the ‘Canes Defensive Ends. There might not be a better sell than learning from those two, and although FA came in liking the U, this exclamation points to them as early contenders for the highly coveted 15-year-old.
T’Andre walked into the U with an offer but continued to cement his status at their Prospect Camp. The top player in the state continued to live up to his name, securing his reputation as the athlete to watch in America. While plenty of schools have offered Waverly, the Canes could have more to offer him than other schools in selling their package to him. If he wants to follow in the footsteps of legends, they have more than a few points to make. Known as Tight End U, they’ve seen Jeremy Shockey, Jimmy Graham, Greg Olsen and Bubba Franks walk through their doors and go on to be high draft picks with excellent NFL careers. If they can convince T’Andre he belongs on the same trajectory, they will stick out in a big way to the Kamiak wunderkind.
