Four of FSP’s top prospects, who are among the very best Washington, continued the program’s current South tour with an unofficial visit to the Seminoles’ facilities, as first seen on their social media with exclusive looks on CEO Tracy Ford’s @TFordFSP Instagram account. All four of the blue chip prospects were offered on the visit. Here is a look at each one.
Bigger and faster than anyone else. Waverly is as rare as physical specimen come, running some of the fastest track times known to man in Washington State. A 10.60 flat 100m time would be scary for any prospect, but to imagine a 6’5″ 230 running faster than the speediest little guys is nearly unimaginable. However, this is the case with T’Andre, making it very tough to dispute his placing as the top player in the state. While some players have put up better stats, and others have earned plenty more accolades, there isn’t anyone on the same athletic playing field as him. He’d be the biggest player in several leagues, and the fastest player in most. The fact that he’s only a sophomore is even more frightening, thinking about how he gets to terrorize high school opponents for two more seasons. He’s been with Ford Sports Performance for several years now, beginning when he was just 13 and being trained into the best prospect in the state. He’s an easy automatic offer for every university, and FSU seemed thrilled at the opportunity to show him around before offering him a chance to take his career nationwide.
While I’ve wrote about Siale’s ultra-rare athletic package before, it wasn’t until I got the chance to lay eyes on him in person that I truly understood the young man. I saw him play live this spring and continued to rave about his athleticism, calling him one of the most fun players to watch in the state as he stood out among the loaded Spring Tackle team. But I finally had the chance to meet him on the Oregon trip to begin the month, where I realized his charisma and energetic nature. His attitude matched his play in every way, and I finally realized he was more than just a great ballplayer. His presence would be welcomed in any locker room, as he takes and makes jokes to go with playing Defensive End in a fundamentally sound and enjoyable way. I have to imagine the Florida State coaches began to fall in love with FA just like the staff and coaches at FSP do, and will be hoping he gives them serious consideration too.
Manning has continued to amaze people at every chance possible, carrying as much weight as anyone both figuratively and literally. Nobody expects a young man of his stature to be as big as he’s listed until they see him and immediately recognize that there is no fabrication there. But their jaws completely drop when they see how refined he is, as I spoke of in my NW Showcase article yesterday. I’ve started to love his personality as well, as the sophomore is extremely grateful and appreciative of all of the praise that come his way. He’s come an incredibly long way from playing Nose Guard at Kent-Meridian last year as a freshman, to becoming a burgeoning Offensive Tackle for Bellevue as a sophomore. He’d be my easy pick for the top Offensive Lineman in Washington, and there’s no coincidence he’s going on these big-time recruiting trips now. Florida State had to be thrilled to offer him today and will look to prioritize him in their recruiting the next few years.
This article is full of exciting prospects, but Rainey-Sale is my personal favorite Linebacker to watch right now. I sang the praises of his highlight tape back in March, one of the most exciting compilations of film that can be found on the internet. When watching him in person, I was even more thrilled about the way he flew around the edge, taking the backfield down in a true blaze of glory that can only remind one of former Number 1 Overall Pick Jadeveon Clowney. But what makes him so good is his versatility. He drops into coverage with the smoothest hip mobility and guards Slot Receivers, RBs, and TEs in a way that’s just uncanny for someone with so much size and power. I got to know him on the Oregon trip as well, where he shows his humanity by being an eternal optimist, making the most of every situation he’s in. FSU knew they had to get in on Zay while they have a chance, as you can bet he’ll be an impact player every time he gets an opportunity.
