A player’s junior year is one of the more significant times in their high school career when it comes to recruiting, placing a heavy emphasis on their third-year film. The 2025 class has legitimate talent throughout every position, with some big names floating among the quarterback group. Their sophomore film helped to paint a picture of the players that they can potentially become, while their junior film shows their development as a recruit.
This article will list seven quarterbacks from the class of 2025 whose junior film should be highly anticipated.
Austyn Modrzewski Austyn Modrzewski 6’5″ | 205 lbs | QB Mountain Vista | 2025 State CO from Mountain Vista was the state’s second-leading passer last season, throwing for 3,327 yards and 34 touchdowns. The 6-foot-5 pocket passer recently received offers from Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky, making him one of the top prospects in his class. Modrzewski’s junior film has the potential to entice more college staffs from Power 5 schools.

Alex Birch Alex Birch 5’10” | 180 lbs | QB Horizon | 2025 State CO is the talented QB from Horizon who has landed on the radars of a few Division I schools. He is a three-year starter who has consistently shown his ability to make every throw in the book. His athleticism gives him the mobility to extend plays or take off and run to get it done with his legs. Birch’s film is one to anticipate, especially with the team’s tough schedule.

Casey Midcap Casey Midcap 6’1″ | 180 lbs | QB Wray | 2025 State CO is the QB at Wray High School, whose sophomore film set high expectations for this fall. He is an accurate passer with an absolute cannon and the right amount of elusiveness to make something out of nothing. Midcap is the prime example of why the belief that classification levels determine the level of talent is grossly misconceived.
Highlights
CT Worley CT Worley 6’2″ | 210 lbs | QB Broomfield | 2025 State CO has stepped into the QB1 spot for the reigning 4A state champions. He is a dual-threat QB with the size, power, and big arm that have helped him land on the radars of a handful of FBS programs. Worley’s junior film will be big since this will be his first year logging varsity reps at the helm of the offense, making him one of the more anticipated among the class.

Jose Paredes from Thornton came into his sophomore year as the starter and showed to develop into a breakout prospect during his junior season. Throwing to a standout senior speedster allowed him to show off his arm strength by hitting his man in stride deep down the field. Paredes is a talented player with a serious upside.
Zayden Stevens Zayden Stevens 6’3″ | 200 lbs | QB Vista Ridge | 2025 State CO has moved to Colorado Springs and will be playing for Vista Ridge, a team that is loaded with talented receivers. Being in the system that just graduated the state’s leading passer from last season makes this new roster one to anticipate. Stevens has the ability to turn into a breakout recruit as a junior, especially if his film lives up to expectations.

Zion Brake Zion Brake 6’1″ | 170 lbs | QB Smoky Hill | 2025 State CO from Smoky Hill is a dangerous dual-threat QB who is expected to lead the offense of the Buffaloes as the sole starter rather than splitting reps. He has an impressive arm with accurate ball placement, especially on his second and third-level throws. Brake will have the talent around him to turn heads this fall, putting his film on the list.
