REGION I-1A
Christ Church Cavaliers
Dashun Reeder Dashun Reeder 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB Christ Church | 2024 State SC RB
Reeder is a monster. He rushed for more than 2,200 yards and 42 scores a year ago, and backed that up by running the fastest 40 time in the senior session at Palmetto Combine West. Reeder has recently committed to Northwestern, and the sky seems to be the limit for him.
Calhoun Falls Blue Flashes
Remetrius Sutton WR
Sutton is a big body, at 6-7 and 195 pounds. He’s got some speed out wide, and he’s turned into the Flashes’ most reliable threat and biggest offensive weapon.
Dixie Hornets
Tae Donald FB/MLB
Donald is a hard-nosed player who should stand out on both sides of the ball for Dixie. He’s a tough runner who’s hard to bring down, and a physical LB who wins matchups at the point of attack.
McCormick Chiefs
Camden Durant Camden Durant 6'3" | 215 lbs | LB McCormick | 2024 State SC LB
Every. Single. Tool. That’s what helps make Camden Durant Camden Durant 6'3" | 215 lbs | LB McCormick | 2024 State SC the No. 4 LB in his class, and why he’s crucial to the Chiefs’ success. He’s a specimen at 6-3 and 215 pounds, he flies to the ball, and he’s physical when he gets there. Durant creates havoc, and he’s going to give opposing offenses fits trying to slow him down.
Southside Christian Sabres
It’d be easy to pick a skill guy for this spot, but if the Sabres are going to get back to the top of 1A they’ll have to do it with defense. McGowan is one of the big guns there. He’s a terror in the weight room, benching 335 and squatting 585. He had 53 total tackles last season, and his upside is huge. He’s strong enough to play DT, and quick enough to play DE.
St. Joseph’s Knights
Johnny Jaraczewski Johnny Jaraczewski 6'0" | 220 lbs | LB St. Joseph's | 2024 State SC ILB
Jaraczewski is a stat machine. Last year, he notched 159 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, and one interception for the Knights. Oh, and he scored four rushing TDs. Now he’s another year bigger and stronger, setting the school’s junior squat record at 460 pounds.
Ware Shoals Hornets
Justice Lomax ATH
Lomax had nearly 1,000 yards on the ground for the Hornets last year, scoring 11 times and earning all-region honors. When the Hornets had success, Lomax was usually a big part of the reason. He’ll be just as important to their success this season.
