Steven Murray Steven Murray 6'1" | 165 lbs | WR Eastern Guilford | 2025 NC – WR – Eastern Guilford – I took a look at this young man’s film and I was instantly impressed. He’s a Class of 2025 prospect who stands at 6’1 and 160 pounds. He has some excellent footwork, especially after the catch with the ball in his hands. He takes hitch routes, makes a guy miss, and goes the distance for a touchdown. He catches a slant route, splits the corner and safety with speed, and scores a touchdown. He is electric in the special teams game as well, on both kickoffs and punt returns. He currently holds an offer from Charlotte, but I’d expect his recruitment to exponentially grow as more schools learn about him.
Miles Smith – ATH – Berry – A Class of 2026 prospect who is 6’3 and 170 pounds should always garner some attention. At the moment he does not have any game film, but he plays safety and wide receiver, and he looks like he will be an instant impact player for a young Berry team this upcoming season. He displays a nice catch radius and good athleticism. He also runs track, so I will expect to see him making some plays on the outside for the Cardinals this upcoming season.
Gavin Powell – WR – Cannon School – At 6’0 and 185 pounds, Gavin is a Class of 2024 prospect. The first thing I’ll say about Gavin is he plays much bigger than his listed 6’0 height. He picked up an offer from Denison University recently and has college interest from other schools. He runs very precise routes and catches everything thrown his way. He is an intelligent player, knowing how to read coverages and find the soft spots versus zone and run away from defenders in man coverage. A great security blanket for a quarterback!
Laderian Lynch – ATH – South Mecklenburg – Laderian is a Class of 2024 prospect who plays Wide Receiver and Defensive Back for the Sabres. He just picked up his offer to play college football from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte. At 5’10 and 160 pounds, I like him at Wide Receiver especially because he can do some special things with the ball in his hands. He is dangerous in the screen game and quick passing game, where he has an ability to make people miss and gain big yards with his speed after the catch. He will be an important piece of the Sabres offense this season.
A’Maree Lawrence – OL – Lake Norman Charter – Whenever you have a Class of 2026 Offensive Line Prospect listed at 6’4 and 300 pounds, he will definitely be a player you need to know. Lawrence split time between JV and Varsity last season, but his highlight film shows a truly dominant player in run blocking, and in pass protection he moved well and stayed in front of defenders at a good clip for such a young player. I’m excited to see him grow into a player that will have prospects in playing college football in his future for sure.
