National Preps Showcase: Running Back Standouts

He took home MVP Honors at the Northwest Showcase this past weekend, and was dominant at the NP Showcases camp last month. He is a physical and violent runner that also is smooth in the open field and can easily win in one on one situations in space and in the hole. He has packed on a bit more weight this off-season and looked good during the position specific drills/route running session. He is a versatile player that can run both downhill in gap schemes along with showing good vision in zone schemes with cutback ability/vision. He has elite speed with return ability and a nice initial burst while able to make defenders miss in the hole with short area quickness and lateral movement abilities. Although a bit undersized, he is a physical runner that is not afraid to initiate contact and a terrific receiver out of the backfield while a mismatch nightmare for linebackers. He moves well for his size and packs a punch with the ball in his hands while showing good power and leg drive through the first two levels. He tested well and is a very athletic kid with plus ball skills and a natural runner that will excel at the next level, especially in the right system. He has a strong build and is very well put together, especially for his age. Ene excelled during the one on one sessions, easily putting linebackers in binds in the open field and showing elite burst out of the backfield and outstanding ball skills/adjustment abilities. He will once again be one of the more dominant players regardless of class across Norcal this Fall and a big part of the Granite Bay one two punch with Jackson. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
