Expert Analysis
Paul Gregorian | Prep Redzone Scout
Ene has been one of the top 2026 recruits across the state of California for the past several seasons, and holds nine Division I offers and is one of the top running backs in the state. He recently shut down his recruitment and committed to Sacramento State, who has been on a tear this cycle with gaining commits from highly recruited players all across the country. This is a big time get for the Hornets as Ene is a no brainer FBS caliber player and should be able to provide immediate depth in the running back room once he gets there next season.

Ene is one of the top prospects in the 2026 class across northern California, and has been putting together a very impressive Junior campaign so far heading into the second week of the post season. The violent and downhill runner is a exceptional athlete for his size and a natural pass catcher out of the backfield and will be one of the top returning players returning in all of Norcal next Fall.
In the first round of the SJS playoff’s against Pleasant Grove he rushed for 180+ yards and 3 scores in a 42-0 blowout win in the first round. Granite Bay will play a always tough Inderkum squad in the second round of the SJS playoff’s on Friday night.

The Granite Bay product is one of the top players in all of California in this 2026 class, and is a do it all two-way player for Granite Bay. Ene is a high three-star recruit that holds offers from Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Sac State, SDSU, Utah, Washington, Washington State, and UNLV, with others probably not far behind as this season progresses and the off-season starts. He is a powerful and violent runner that is a terrific athlete for his size and has dominated SFL competition on both sides of the ball since his freshman campaign. On Friday night he had another strong showing, rushing for over 100 yards and tacked on another 100+ yards receiving as well. Ene will be one of the more sought after 2026 prospects across the region, and is a name to keep a close eye on this off-season.

Ene is one of the top second year players across the state in this 2026 class, and he checks into our most recent rankings as our number one athlete in the state. He is a two-way star from his linebacker and running back position, and went off again this week against Oak Ridge, rushing for over 100 yards and a score, while adding another pick six to his resume. Ene currently holds offers from Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada and Utah and he should see other national offers come in through his final two seasons of his prep career.
