Takeaway 1
Wake Forest QB commit Jeremy Hecklinski Jeremy Hecklinski 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Walton | 2024 State GA had himself a solid afternoon for Walton. Early on, the Raiders struggled to stay on the field. However, as Hecklinski found a groove, Walton did as well. As is well documented at this point, Hecklinski showed off his incredibly impressive arm strength. He does an outstanding job of mixing up velocities to make all different kinds of throws. Simply put, there is not a throw on the field that Hecklinski isn’t capable of making. His field vision is incredibly impressive as well. He does an excellent job of going through his progressions and making quick, decisive decisions when he sees an open receiver.
Takeaway 2
Justin Logan Justin Logan 6'3" | 210 lbs | LB Kell | 2024 State GA , the highly recruited 2024 LB from Kell, is one of the most impressive LB prospects I have seen in person. Just by looking at him, you can tell he will be a physical force in the run game, but his length and speed add another element to his game. In the middle of the field, he showed that he was fast enough to run with receivers on crossing routes and has the range to roam his zone in the middle. When you pair his range with his length, he takes away so many passing windows over the middle of the field. This fall, I would expect Logan to make an impact on every single snap, regardless of if he is directly in the action or not.
Takeaway 3
There were a few underrated playmakers that caught my eye. One of which was 2024 Cherokee WR Jace Jones. Jones is a smaller WR prospect, but he has outstanding speed and changed directions well. He played with a quiet confidence all afternoon, making play after play and popping back up ready to make another. Of all the receivers at the event, he caught my eye more than most in terms of his ability to get open. To go along with his ability to create separation, he also showed the ability to show a variety of different routes.
Takeaway 4
Yet another underrated prospect that grabbed my attention was 2024 Brookwood WR Lee Niles. Niles, a basketball player, brings over outstanding agility from the basketball court and ties everything together with noticeable football-specific skills. He runs extremely aggressive routes, making firm cuts to change directions on a dime. What caught my attention was his ability to climb the ladder and rip the ball away from defenders, which he pulled off multiple times all afternoon. He isn’t the biggest receiver, but he plays bigger than what he is listed and offers a wide catch radius.
Takeaway 5
Brayden Rouse Brayden Rouse 6'0" | 140 lbs | ATH GA , an uber-talented 2026 WR from Kell, is on P5 offer watch. Kell is loaded with talented playmakers all over the field, but Rouse might have been the top playmaker all afternoon for the Longhorns. He has good size at 6’2 180 with long arms and legs. He has the room from head to toe to fill out and become an even more physically dominant receiver. For his size, he moves extremely fluidly and showcases natural hands. I am a huge fan of Rouse and he is a steady riser up my personal 2026 WR board.
Takeaway 6
I was looking forward to seeing 2026 Creekview WR Nathan Agyemang Nathan Agyemang 6'4" | 195 lbs | WR Creekview | 2026 GA in person. While the ball didn’t go his way a whole lot, he still moved well and showed solid stepping stones for development. As I have said before, Agyemang is a special athlete that is still getting up to speed with football. If things click for him, he has a chance to really make some noise on the recruiting trail. Thankfully, he is still very young with his best football ahead of him.
Takeaway 7
2024 Cincinnati DB commit Quavo Saboor has been one of my personal favorites in the 2024 class for a while. Saboor was a standout all day, coming away with multiple picks and flew around the field. On tape, his ability to cover a lot of ground and fly all over the field flashes. After seeing him in person do the same exact thing, my opinion on him has grown even more. As I have said before, I believe Saboor will outplay his ranking at the next level.
