Impressive Georgia Prospects Make College Decision

Of course, that would be big Hiram tight end, [player_tooltip player_id='321425' first='Walter' last='Matthews']. A giant of a prospect at 6-foot-7 245-pounds, Matthews is a multi-sport star and a big target in the passing game. He was a scoring machine last season, finding the end-zone 8 times on just 20 receptions. He's an impressive run blocker, but he'll be catching plenty of passes in the Trojan's pass-happy offense under head coach Lincoln Riley. Matthews took official visits this month to USC and Florida, and decided this week that Southern Cal is where he wants to be. But at the next level, the tough, physical linebacker will be playing for Brent Key and the in-state Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. A guy who knows how to strike and deliver a big hit, Maddox chose the Yellow Jackets over programs like UAB, and Kentucky. He's put together physically and flashed easy D1-caliber talent in 2022. A two-way player, Maddox can play running back on offense, showing he's a smooth runner who can glide and pick up yards in a hurry. He can be tough to bring down and shows the ability to break tackles. Now, it's led to a commitment to the Duke Blue Devils. A long athlete with great ball skills, Jackson was a highlight reel waiting to happen last year. A true to-go option on offense, Jackson was a very dependable option when the Golden Bears threw the ball. He plays the ball well in the air and proved to be a reliable route-runner as well. He makes it look easy, too. He's a fun player to watch, and when the ball is in the air, he's going to make a play. Defensively, Jackson shows natural instincts and can make a touch catch in coverage. He covers a lot of ground and knows how to make a strong tackle as well.
