Floridians Shine At UA Next Future 50

BRADENTON – On Saturday, the 2023 UA Next Future 50 featured a collection of the country’s top standouts from the Class of 2025 for a day of elite skills training and 7-on-7 competition at IMG Academy in Bradenton. In total, the camp featured 34 players ranked in the top 100 of the ESPN Jr300 recruiting rankings, including 22 in the top 50.

During the morning session, players focused on position-specific training and skill development under the direction of an elite coaching staff that featured former NFL standouts Pepper Johnson, Jeff Blake, Mike Sellers, Chris Chambers, Torrey Smith and Torrian Wilson. In the evening, an intense 7-on-7 game, which was won by Team Next, and Big Man Challenge competition capped the day’s activities.

“Future 50 is our way of elevating the best of the best in football as their high school careers come to an end and they look ahead to their collegiate chapters,” said Trey Evans, Director, Team Sports at Under Armour. “All these athletes have such a bright future ahead and we’re honored to be part of their journey to compete.”

FFRENCH IS MVP

While the event was held in the state of Florida, one of the top prospects in the nation – Jaime Ffrench Jr. from Jacksonville Mandarin took home the UA Next Future 50 MVP. The 6-2, 185-pound receiver is among the best in the country.
