Panhandle 2026 WR Standouts Ready for College Attention

Florida has long been a hotbed of high school football talent. Annually, Florida produces some of the nation's top prospects. Florida athletes are known for their speed, agility, and raw athleticism. These prospects have made names for themselves and have caught the attention of coaches and scouts at the collegiate level. With the 2025 season getting closer, we're looking for players whose stock is rising in the state.   These players are all talented and have college-level abilities. Some of these players have a few offers, but all of them have the ability to play college football at some level.   There are some big-time, highly rated prospects and several sleeper prospects who should all be getting looks for the next level. This list is full of stud prospects. He shows reliable hands and a natural feel for settling into soft spots against zone coverage. His agility allows him to create yards after the catch with sharp, controlled cuts.   Analysis: Gilmore projects as a consistent chain-mover who thrives on timing routes and spacing concepts. Adding strength will help him handle press coverage more effectively, but his polish and feel for the passing game already make him a dependable option.   Max Baker – South Walton High (c/o 2026) Height/Weight: N/A Season Stats: 30 receptions for 691 yards and 13 TDs   Scouting Report: Baker is a true vertical finisher with a knack for finding the end zone. His acceleration stands out, allowing him to win deep and separate late in routes. He shows strong ball-tracking ability and plays with confidence when attacking the ball downfield.   Analysis: Even with fewer receptions, Baker's touchdown production highlights his explosive-play value. Gaining more experience in a variety of route concepts will broaden his versatility, but his big-play efficiency gives him significant upside.   Cashon Downs – Escambia High (c/o 2026) Height/Weight: 6'1”, 180 lbs Season Stats: 46 receptions for 691 yards and 4 TDs   Scouting Report: Downs brings a strong catch radius and a physical playing style to the perimeter. He excels at winning contested catches and using his frame to shield defenders. His size helps him create leverage on comeback routes, slants, and possession-style concepts.   Analysis: Downs has the tools to become a reliable outside receiver at the next level. Jordan Barnes – Wakulla High (c/o 2026) Height/Weight: 5'8”, 160 lbs Season Stats: 60 receptions for 856 yards and 8 TDs   Scouting Report: Barnes is a dynamic space creator with quick feet and strong underneath separation ability. He thrives on short-to-intermediate routes where his burst and suddenness give him an edge. Once he has the ball, he becomes a slippery open-field runner capable of extending plays.   Analysis: Barnes projects as a high-upside slot option with natural playmaking instincts. Continued development in his vertical route tree will round out his skill set, but his agility and production make him a reliable offensive weapon.   Raszir Phelps – Interlachen High (c/o 2026) Height/Weight: 5'10”, 160 lbs Season Stats: 41 receptions for 704 yards and 8 TDs   Scouting Report: Phelps is an athletic, fluid receiver with smooth strides and the ability to stretch defenses.
