Tulane had a strong turnout for its first round of June prospect camps with back-to-back lineman and skills sessions in Yulman Stadium.

Check out a few notes on a dozen eye-catchers, listed in alphabetical order, including a mix of more established players and one newer face who stood out.

[player_tooltip player_id='285621' first='Armani' last='Cargo'] — 5-11, 160 ATH — John Ehret (2024)

The Patriots' speedy multisport standout looked right at home on campus where the Green Wave have ramped up their prioritization of keeping him in the city on the heels of his impressive outdoor track season. Cargo was locking down opposing receivers and seemingly help coach up fellow defensive backs between a few reps.

[player_tooltip player_id='401967' first='Jalan' last='Chapman'] — 75 6-4, 2OL — Warren Easton (2026)

The increasingly high-profile rising sophomore offensive lineman bookended a productive weekend in-state with a Sunday offer from Tulane to go with Friday's from LSU.

[player_tooltip player_id='285270' first='Cornell' last='Harris'] Jr. — 6-2, 250 DL — St. Augustine (2024)

The Purple Knights' hard-working, veteran leader on their talented defensive front may have been among the afternoon line camp's most consistent tackles and gaining a step past blockers with his variety of moves. He and teammate [player_tooltip player_id='426963' first='Warren' last='Roberts'] Jr. at end, eager to prove himself with a breakout junior year, both had memorable reps during the one-on-one session.

[player_tooltip player_id='139475' first='Joshua' last='Jackson'] — 6-3, 180 WR — St. Augustine (2024)

One of the state's top rising senior receivers, who has viewed Michigan and Mississippi State as his top two options much of the spring, worked out at the hometown camp and blew by opposing defensive backs much of the evening in front of Tulane, LSU and other in-state coaches.

[player_tooltip player_id='920690' first='Marcus' last='Jasmin'] — 6-1, 210 DL/LB — Warren Easton (2026)

Chapman wasn't Easton's only rising sophomore who had a nice afternoon uptown as Jasmin used his length and quickness to get by blockers on multiple one-on-one opportunities. He's an additional name to keep an eye on as the Eagles kick off the fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='677948' first='D'Khai' last='Joseph'] — 5-10, 170 WR/ATH — East St. John (2024)

The Wildcats' quick-footed standout continued his strong offseason by winning most — maybe all but one — of his one-on-one reps at Tulane on yet another day of seemingly living wide-open with his sharp route-running.

[player_tooltip player_id='148530' first='Zay' last='Martin'] — 5-9, 150 WR — University Lab (2025)

Another quick pass-catcher who may be among the state's top route-runners in the rising junior class, Martin consistently created space for himself to make sure, confident catches in one-on-ones. This figures to be a big year for the younger brother of former A.J. Ellender star Davontavean "Tay" Martin with more opportunities seemingly on the horizon alongside the Cubs' rising seniors.

[player_tooltip player_id='421609' first='Shaun' last='Nicholas'] — 6-2, 190 WR — West Jefferson (2024)

Nicholas is often an immediate eye-catcher among his receiver peers with his height, length and lean, but muscular frame. And the West Jeff standout looked smooth during drill work, shook off an early drop during one-on-one and came back to make multiple big catches downfield.

[player_tooltip player_id='421517' first='Makylon' last='Smothers'] — 6-3, 180 WR — Destrehan (2024)

The biggest target of the Wildcats' deep and talented receiving corps is a notable sleeper to watch in Louisiana's rising senior class. Smothers reached his peak (thus far) in the Prep Redzone Louisiana rankings last spring with a top-15 spot before an injury cost him the better part of the past year. But he has been back on the field, regaining his stride and showing impressive flashes on the spring practice fields and at Tulane's evening skills camp.

[player_tooltip player_id='145363' first='Landon' last='Sylvie'] — 5-10, 150 DB — Calvary Baptist (2024)

Sylvie may have been the only player to deny Joseph all camp with one of the highlight reps on a deflected pass deep to the end zone that he then corralled for an interception before stepping onto the sideline. As he headed back toward the line, Tulane cornerbacks coach grabbed him to praise the play and Sylvie's patience and timing to make it.

[player_tooltip player_id='421519' first='Maison' last='Vorise'] — 5-11, 170 DB — Denham Springs (2024)

The Yellow Jackets' cornerback has been of state's most consistent takeaway artists on the outside throughout the offseason with a productive 7-on-7 season full of interceptions carrying right into Yulman Stadium with at least one pick and nearly another.
