McBride is one of the top athletes in the state of Idaho returning this season for the Maverick. A three sport star at Mountain View, McBride is able to apply multiple movements to his on field play. As a corner he is one of the best cover players we have seen during this summer with elite quickness and reaction times. He can shadow and move with some of the top players in the country and has excellent ball skills. His ability to play man or zone coverages is top notch where he is able to run with almost anyone he will play and does an excellent job of understanding route concepts. He had an huge camp showing on his way to a DB MVP nod from the coaching staff at Boise State and is in the running as the top corner in the state of Idaho.
McKenna looks like a different player this season as he has put on about 30 pounds of good weight to go with his high motor and athletic ability. A two way star for Borah he is able to play offensive and defensive line but won the camp MVP as an Offensive Lineman. Using his athletic ability McKenna is able to match up with players who maybe smaller and faster but now has the size and strength to matchup with some of the biggest players on the field. Where he has improved the most is in his pass protection where he really understands his base and timing with his hands. Constantly showed the ability to reset during one on one drills along with make adjustments with his feet.
Highlights
Reese is only going to be a junior but is going to be a monster for Rocky this season. He has gained good weight and has stayed explosive. He now has the one-two punch that many coaches are looking for where he can outrun defenders on the edge but also can run through or over defenders in the hole. What is most impressive about Reese is his balance where he never seems to lose his feet when running the ball. He is able to stay upright even with bodies falling around him and is able to turn small holes into big gains. He is primed for a big junior year for Rocky.
Highlights
Soto flashed on to the scene as everyone was able to see the 6’7” TE from Minco walking around the camp but were more impressed with what he did on the field. As a big body like that in high school many players are pushed into a blocking role right way but Soto showed he is a two facet TE where he can put his hand on the ground and dominate defenders but can also line up and catch football out on the edge. His route running is coming together but he shows soft hand and a monster catch radius that allows him to get football thrown anywhere near him.

Jones is a monster in the middle of defenses with his ability to take on doubles teams and hold the point of attack. He has a strong base and even stronger hands that allow him to shed blockers with ease. Where he is improving the most is in his pass rush where he has the ability now to counter instead of always relying on his bull rush. Jones is your prototype when it comes to a 1 tech in college where he can just eat up offensive lineman. He play with great leverage and balance for defensive tackle and will have a big season for the Mavericks.
