The Oregon All-State Game hosted their games at Crescent Valley High School this past Saturday, June 24th. There were a total of three games with three different age groups playing; 6th grade (class of 2029), 7th grade (class of 2028), and 8th grade (class of 2027). I attended the 7th and 8th-grade games to see the future of Oregon high school football. This article will focus on the 7th-graders who showed out during game time.

Offensive MVP: Zeke Thomas QB (5'10, 145 lbs.) Future High School: Crescent Valley

Zeke was very impressive on Saturday. He is tall and comfortable in the pocket with a massive arm for a kid his age. The most impressive part about his game is his athleticism, as he is fast and elusive outside of the pocket. He broke multiple big runs on the day. He will be one of the best quarterbacks in Oregon soon.

Defensive MVP: Michael Price LB (5'10, 135 lbs.) Future High School: Lakeridge

Michael was all over the field at the linebacker position. He is tall, athletic, and smart. He is a good tackler for his age and is all-around comfortable at the linebacker position. I was very impressed.

Lineman MVP: Porotesano Tautu DL (6'2, 203 lbs.) Future High School: Reynolds

Porotesano was a man amongst boys on Saturday. He is not only big and strong but also athletic enough to make chase-down tackles and not let the quarterback get away from him easily. It seemed like Porotesano had ten sacks; that is how dominant he was. He will be one of the best players in the class of 2028 if he can retain his athleticism while adding strength.

Other Notable Standouts:

Tyten Davis OL (5'8, 220 lbs.) Future High School: Grants Pass

Tyten was a pleasant surprise as he looked technically sound at left tackle, which is impressive for a 7th-grader. I am excited to see how Tyten develops these next couple of years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1076647' first='Kade' last='Laraway'] RB (5'7, 137 lbs.) Future High School: Mountainside

Kade was an impressive runner on Saturday. Kade is not easy to bring down when he gets going, as he runs fast and hard. He also has remarkable vision for a 7th-grader.

[player_tooltip player_id='1126329' first='Luke' last='Bergmann'] RB (5'7, 140 lbs.) Future High School: Sunset

Luke stood out to me as he was one of the bigger guys on the field but also quite fast and explosive with the ball in his hands. He has the potential to be a great high school football player for the Apollos.

[player_tooltip player_id='1760618' first='Carter' last='Nguyen'] WR (5'1, 100 lbs.) Future High School: Sprague

Do not let Carter's size fool you; he fully belonged to be at the game on Saturday. He is a fast and fluid runner with great hands and solid route-running.

Ryan Warhank WR (5'8, 130 lbs.) Future High School: Lake Oswego

Ryan was one of the biggest wide receivers on the field and played like it. He was a willing blocker, even flat-backing defenders, and had the athleticism to be a great wide receiver.

Masen Putnam RB (5'4, 110 lbs.) Future High School: Wilsonville

Masen may have been the fastest guy on the field Saturday, and he plays like he is 150 pounds, not 110. He runs hard and breaks arm tackles while being extremely agile and elusive. I am excited to watch Masen develop.

Konnor Kessler DL (5'11, 160 lbs.) Future High School: Henley

Konnor was an impressive defensive lineman, as he is both big and athletic. Konnor was in the backfield an awful lot on Saturday and is a great tackler when given a chance.

[player_tooltip player_id='1884215' first='Kellen' last='Schantin'] DB (5'3, 110 lbs.) Future High School: Thurston

Kellen was an impressive cornerback on Saturday, as his technique and speed were outstanding. And despite being one of the smaller guys on the field, he had multiple big hits and pass-break-ups on Saturday.
