Highlights
HAWK’S OPINION:
JuJu is a between-the-tackles running back who can handle a high volume of reps. He’s a compact back with a low center of gravity on inside runs. He has good vision, balance, and speed when he hits the hole. He’s a tough back who always falls forward, fights for yards, and breaks tackles. Additionally, he exhibits good short-area quickness and body control when making cuts. Walker is also a reliable receiver, whether he’s coming out of the backfield or flexed as the number three option, as seen in his film. His toughness is further demonstrated in pass protection, where he chips blitzers to prevent pressure on the QB. Walker has been receiving interest from FCS-D3 programs for his recruitment.
Tyler Clayton
Tyler Clayton
HAWK’S OPINION:
Tyler flashes explosion and speed on both sides of the football. He showed his speed and quickness reversing fields on a jet sweep for a long TD. He displays body control in his backpedal and does a great job breaking on the ball from within his frame. He’s able to play man coverage on the outside or in the slot. Ty also showed great play recognition, anticipation and ball skills on a pick-six on his film. He has special teams skills, playing the hold up corner on punt return, and running down with speed and aggression on kick off. I think Clayton is another weapon at Canevin with next level abilities.
HAWK’S OPINION:
Carter has been attracting some interest from FCS- D3 schools. Marquis possesses balance, patience, vision and speed when carrying the ball. Once he breaks free, he is a difficult player to catch from behind in the open-field. He also displays toughness by consistently falling forward after each rush. He’s 5’11 170 pounds and has the frame to add 20-30 lbs and still maintain explosion. Marquis demonstrates impressive lateral quickness and the ability to stop on a dime on his film. He’s gifted enough to be a special teams contributor as well.
Che’Von Allen
Che’Von Allen
HAWK’S OPINION:
Allen’s determination on the field transcends his stature, consistently surpassing expectations by playing like a big recruit. He has experienced significant growth and advancement as a player over the last couple of seasons. In the open field, Che proves to be an imposing presence, executing tackles with physical strength. His agile hip movement allows for quick changes in direction while diligently tracking the ball. Allen’s ball skills have improved, which will maximize his effectiveness as a pass defender. It is worth highlighting that Che’Von already possesses impressive foot speed, and there is great potential for him to further refine his abilities leading up to the upcoming season. He is an athlete on both sides of the ball and is able to contribute on special teams.
HAWK’S OPINION:
Dereon has shown the ability to make big plays on deep passes. He has strong ball-tracking skills and is skilled at out-jumping defenders for contested passes. Greer’s physical strength allows him to break tackles and gain yards after contact. His vision and power with the ball suggest that he could also be effective as a running back. He has a broad catch radius and reliable hands, making him a valuable deep threat. Greer consistently delivered when his team needed a crucial play, finishing the 2022 season averaging almost 20 yards per catch. His size and athleticism is also an asset on the backend on defense as well. He has the speed and ball skills to adequately contest passes in coverage. Dereon is currently receiving FCS-D3 interest.
