RJ Evans RJ Evans 5’11” | 175 lbs | RB Thompson | 2026 State AL is a versatile athlete who makes an impact at both running back and wide receiver positions for Thompson. As a running back, Evans showcases agility and elusiveness that allows him to navigate through traffic and make defenders miss with extreme ease. That paired with his quick burst and change of direction make him a really difficult player to contain, as he can quickly find ways to take advantage of defenses. In the passing game, Evans utilizes his hands to make reliable catches no matter how contested or difficult the pass is- in addition to that, it doesn’t matter if his route is short, intermediate, or deep, he has the ability to track the ball and secure receptions all around the field. Already as a freshman Evans has a lot of impressive aspects of his game- and some schools are starting to take notice- recently he picked up an Austin Peay offer!
Dylan Cope Dylan Cope 6’3″ | 180 lbs | WR Hewitt Trussville | 2026 State AL has been on our radar for awhile now and rightfully so, early on in his career at Hewitt Trussville he is already a standout wide receiver for their offense. Cope has an impressive a combination of size, speed, and skill that make him a threat as a pass catcher. With his size and physicality Cope has the ability to win battles against defensive backs and come down with contested catches on a routine basis, and that paired with his speed allows him to stretch the field and create separation from defenders, making him an all around threat in the passing game. What really sets Cope apart is his hands- he consistently displays excellent ball skills, and is able to make tough catches in traffic and haul in contested passes no matter how tough the coverage may be. Cope is a player that needs to be watched- a 6’3 180 WR with the skill he has a freshman is extremely hard to come by- and is exactly why he just picked up his first offer from Memphis!
Dylan Reese Dylan Reese 5’10” | 150 lbs | QB Parker | 2026 State AL looks like he could be the future for Pinson Valley at the QB position. Reese has impressive arm strength, accuracy, and can already read defenses and make quick decisions really well. With a strong arm like he has, Reese can make all the necessary throws downfield, he has the ability to put the ball in excellent places for his targets and delivers it with great touch. In addition to his touch and downfield accuracy, his ability to generate velocity on his throws allows him to fit the ball into tight spaces and make difficult completions when his targets are covered. Another notable strength of Reese is his ability to read defenses- he already has shown how he has a good understanding of coverages and can quickly make decisions and throws no matter the pressure he is under. Reese is going to be a player to watch for us going forward- he really holds a lot of potential with this Pinson Valley squad and has already added an offer from Alabama State!
Highlights
Delvecchio Alston is an electrifying running back known for his explosive playmaking ability, shiftiness, and exceptional vision- what he’s going to do for Hewitt Trussville going forward is going to be real exciting. Alston has very impressive acceleration and possesses the burst to quickly hit holes and break into the open field, leaving defenders in the dust. In addition to that, Alston has a lot of great moves he can make when engaging with defenders- it doesn’t matter if he’s making a quick cut, spin move, or juke, Alston finds ways to break away from tacklers very easily. In addition to the finesse of his running style, Alston also plays with a ton of toughness and physicality- often on film he’s shown running people over and powering through defenders to gain every possible yard available. Alston is a playmaker in every sense of the word, and is a player were all going to need to watch as he heads into his sophomore year and beyond!
