James Morrow – DL – Buford
If you were to look at Morrow practicing with the Buford Wolves this spring, you’d have no idea he was just going top be a sophomore in 2023. One of the more physically gifted young 2026 prospects in Georgia, Morris is a big 6-foot-4 230-pound DE/TE prospect who should have a big impact for the Wolves as a sophomore this upcoming fall. He already looks like a promising SEC-caliber defender, and last week he earned a major offer from the in-state Georgia Bulldogs. He also added a major offer from the Alabama Crimson Tide last week. A good athlete with an excellent frame, Morrow could be the next great Buford defensive lineman who could be tough to stop this upcoming season due to his raw strength, length, and quickness off the ball.
Zykie Helton – OL – Carrollton
A dominant two-way lineman from powerhouse Carrollton, Helton’s recruitment is really taking off over the last several weeks. The big promising OT has seen plenty of impressive offers come his way recently, and he earned a new major offer this past week from the Alabama Crimson Tide. Helton is a tough, physical lineman who really came on as a freshman for one of the top programs in the state, Helton has plenty of size at 6-foot-3 325-pounds who knows how to use big frame and overall power to his advantage. If he continues to develop and progress the way many think he will, Helton could end up as one of the top OL prospects in the South for the 2026 class. He also holds offers from Auburn, USF, and ECU with more likely coming his way before the 2023 season starts.
Jordan Carter Jordan Carter 6'4" | 235 lbs | DL Douglas County | 2026 State GA – Douglas County
One of the top young defenders not only in West Georgia but across the peach-state, it’s been a massive few weeks on the recruiting trail for the playmaking 6-foot-4 235-pounder, and he recently added a new offer from Alabama to his already impressive offer list. He’s a tough, physical defender with a great motor, and he’s bound for a gigantic sophomore season in 2023. Carter has a great frame and brings plenty of raw strength to the table for someone his age and can shed blocks as well as any young defender in the state. He was really impressive as a freshman for powerhouse Carrollton last year and is bound for big things in 2023 for Douglas County. His best football is still way ahead of him, but the D1 potential is easy to see. Carter is ranked in the latest update as the No. 4 DL prospect and the No. 21 overall prospect in the 2026 class. Look for him to possibly move up in those rankings in the next update.
Bryce Perry-Wright Bryce Perry-Wright 6'3" | 250 lbs | DL Buford | 2026 State GA – DL – Buford
Another elite Buford defender and arguably the top 2026DL prospect in Georgia right now, Perry-Wright has 5-star potential in his class, and even though he has an eye-opening number of offers, he added a new one this past week from the LSU Tigers. He has a lean frame at 6-foot-3 240-pounds but plays bigger than that. He’s lightning quick off the ball, possesses big, strong hands and knows how to natural find his way into the backfield. He has “game-changing” potential from the inside and brings impressive athleticism for someone in the middle of the trenches.
