Zion Grady Zion Grady 6’4″ | 235 lbs | DL Charles Henderson | 2025 State AL is widely regarded as one of the most dominant defensive ends in the entire nation- and rightfully so, he’s been phenomenal for Charles Henderson. With his exceptional athleticism, Grady consistently finds ways to wreak havoc on opposing offenses- he has a rare combination of speed and bend, allowing him to explode off the line of scrimmage and quickly penetrate the backfield to make plays. Last fall Grady put this on full display- he recorded 106 total tackles (35 tackles for loss), 19 sacks, and 26 hurries. Grady’s explosiveness and relentless pursuit make it difficult to stop him- he consistently disrupts both running and passing plays and is known for making tackles for loss. Grady has had a massive year when it comes to recruiting- he has received offers from Alabama, Georgia, Penn State and more!
Jared Smith Jared Smith 6’6″ | 235 lbs | DL Spain Park | 2025 State AL has been fantastic for Spanish Fort since his freshman season, and has only gotten better as time has gone on. Smith is a force on the field, and excels as a destructive and athletic defensive end. Standing at 6’6″ 230 pounds, Smith possesses the ideal size and build for his position- pairing that with his relentless motor great speed, agility, and pursuit makes him unstoppable. Whether it’s chasing down ball carriers or putting pressure on the quarterback, Smith consistently finds himself around the ball- his ability to make plays all around the field is a testament to his versatility and football instincts. Smith is able to both affect the run and pass equally- he can consistently generate pressure on the quarterback and can set the edge against the run really well. Of course, Smith’s talents haven’t gone unnoticed- he’s picked up offers from Alabama, Florida, LSU, and many more!
Jourdin Crawford Jourdin Crawford 6’3″ | 290 lbs | DL Parker | 2025 State AL has been one of the top players in our 2025 Rankings since he was a freshman over at Jackson-Olin, and since he joined Parker, Crawford has continued to dominate some of the top talent in the state. Crawford is one of the most talented defensive tackle prospects out there- he is absolutely dominate on the interior and can make tons of plays against both the run and the pass. When it comes to stopping the run, Crawford is unbelievable- his incredible strength and technique allow him to hold his ground, shed blocks, and clog running lanes. In addition to that, Crawford has great play recognition, he diagnose plays quickly, anticipates the direction of the ball carrier and meets them with great force on a consistent basis. Last fall, Crawford had a big year statistically where he recorded 60 total tackles (15 tackles for loss) and 9 sacks. As dominating an interior presence as he is, Crawford has gotten alot of collegiate attention- he’s picked up offers from Penn State, Clemson, Auburn and more!

CJ May CJ May 6’4″ | 220 lbs | DL Highland Home | 2025 State AL is an explosive and highly talented defensive lineman that has paired up with Jakeleb Faulk to make Highland Home one of the most dominant defenses in the state. May has a great combination of strength, speed, and agility to create havoc in the trenches- his quick-twitch movements and burst off the line of scrimmage make him a nightmare for opposing offensive linemen to deal with. May’s strength is seriously impressive- on tape he consistently overpowers blockers and sheds them with ease while also being great at moving sideline to sideline to make tackles. May’s ability to move around the field like that is a valuable asset-he has the ability to chase down ball carriers from behind and make plays in pursuit with great ease. Last fall, May had a big breakout season where he totaled up 50 tackles (10 tackles for loss) and 2.5 sacks- keep an eye on him this fall- he’s sure to have another big year. Currently, May lists offers from Georgia, Clemson, Arkansas and more!

Antonio Coleman Antonio Coleman 6’2″ | 265 lbs | DL Saraland | 2025 State AL had a breakout season last fall for Saraland that featured him having standout performances all year long. On the season, Coleman totaled up 69 total tackles (20 tackles for loss) and 3.5 sacks on the year. Coleman has a ton of power, his ability to move offensive linemen is incredibly impressive, specifically when it comes to his bull rush. Coleman has a terrific bull rush that leaves linemen in the dirt- allowing him to consistently generate interior pressure on the quarterback, and to close gaps and stop the run as well. Last year Coleman saw his recruitment open up a ton- he has picked up offers from schools all across the nation from great programs like Alabama, Texas, Tennessee and more! Keep an eye on both him and Saraland this fall- there’s a great chance that they repeat their success they had last year!
